Principles and Theories of Management

Questions:
1. Does this observation of Schwartz hold true in your organization? If yes, how
would you reconcile or resolve, if ever your own personal values with that of
thee “organization’, if they happen to contradict or clash?

Turn around situations are expected realities in an organization. There

are instances that you might piss off many people, when works which will
require speed, quick decisions, tough mindedness and assertive behavior.
Toxic workplace can ruin a workplace and the lives of employee, if being
disregarded. Hence, the individualization of work in recent years, is practiced.
There are also your toxic co-employees who acts as a boss which you need to
worry. Yet at the end of the day, the one who is above you, is the same person
who has final decision.
I would agree to Schwartz in his statement since, in every organization
that we are in, we need to connect with people inside that organization with
respect to the work that we are in. Though, in my perception, it is always a
must that we have to be careful with the things that we say or do with them.
And to the work and service that we do for the organization.
There are also times that your judgment will be compromise, and our
personal values will be put into test, yet to remain firm with your values. The
question now is what are we going to do about this. If it happens that it may
clash with the others, we must ensure that after that situation, professionalism
will be observed.

life especially in the context of offices or agencies under the Philippine
