EXPLORE:

What MATTERS were created?

a) Seas, oceans
Matter in the Sea
The ocean covers 70% of Earth’s surface (Fig. 3). Seawater is a dynamic
chemical mixture that has constant input of matter from the land,
atmosphere, and living things. Sometimes we can see some of the
materials in the ocean. For example, when rainwater flows over the land,
it dissolves substances from soil and rocks. Runoff carries these
materials directly into the ocean or into streams and rivers that empty
into the ocean

b) Dry lands (Lithosphere)

The lithosphere is composed of both the crust and the portion of the
upper mantle that behaves as a brittle, rigid solid. The lithosphere is the
outermost mechanical layer, which behaves as a brittle, rigid solid.

EXPLAIN:
What MATTERS were created in the DRY LANDS?
 Mountains, hills, plains, valleys, plateaus, large boulders, soil, sand,
clay, rock, gravel.
The PLANT KINGDOM (water, land, air)
 Plants are living organisms belonging to the kingdom Plantae. They
include familiar organisms such as trees, herbs, bushes, grasses, vines,
ferns, mosses, and green algae.
a.) Grasses — Grass, like all green plants, captures energy from the sun
and converts the energy into sugars and carbohydrates.

b.) Herbs — Herbs may help to prevent and manage heart disease, cancer
and diabetes. It may also help to reduce blood clots and provide anti-
inflammatory and anti-tumor properties.

c.) Fruit trees — produce fresh oxygen, giving you and your family
cleaner air to breathe, as well as encouraging wildlife to flourish. A
fruit tree bears fruit that is consumed or used by animals and
humans.
