SOPH GOTH '18 sent: IIHoliday greetings from Fresno! During my 105 day stay in the hos
pital in San Francisco, I decided to sell my apartment and move to Fresno. While I will
miss my many friends in the Bay Area, I am sure this was the best decision. Fresno is
where I was born and all of my relatives live in the San Joaquin Valley. This hospital is
an excellent one with well trained nurses and other employees. I am getting better each
day, but expect to be here for some time. I enjoy company and receiving phone calls. A
visit from you would be great if your travels ever bring you this way (Valley Convalescent
Hospital, 4840 E. Tulare at Chestnut Ave, Fresno, CA 93727), and my private phone number
is 209-251-0761.11 In another note, Soph reported that he has had visits from lawrence
Young '25, Herman Fisher '52, Wells Harmon '33, Floyd Howe '34, Percy Carter '32, Fred
lusk '54, and Bill Thompson '54, among others.

JAMES P. SHERK '64 writes that his home, he hopes permanently, is Manhattan Beach, CA.
524 6th St; 90266)
'( "The fraternity is strong in los Angeles, largely due to Bob Quell
malz's parties over the years. Some 32 Tekes and wives attended the Cal-UCLA game, with
a pre-game party at Guy Newmark's. The fraternity can be remarkably supportive, if one
lets it. II Jim is a B707 co-pilot for TWA, and his wife, Carole, is a stewardess for TWA.
They have a 3 year old son, Scott.

from the classes of '20 - '30---where you are and what you're up to. Write him at RR 1,
Box 261-C5, Kapaa, Hawaii 96746.

ROBIN C. HARRIS '55 "After 6 years of smugly assuring you that we had found our niche in
Tahoe, we decicec that we had had all we could take of 1) public education, 2) snow, and
3 ) tourists ....so we returned last July to the place we have always liked best---French
Gulch, 20 miles w of Redding. Here we have bought a small farm, renewed our 640 acre
lease with Southern Pacific, and settled into a way of life entirely different from any
thing we have ever done before. The past months have been spent remodeling a much-too
small house, and rraking plans for a new one on this same property, which we hope to begin
building in the spring." Robin is N. Californian General Manager of EBCO, Inc., a firm of
general contractors and steel building fabricators. He has retired from education "again",
and is writing 3 books simultaneously. Donna is writing archeology papers, and son Dan is
establishing a vehicle repair and auto sales business. Daughter Ann remains in Tahoe City
where she owns a bedroom accessories and gift shop. The Harrises' new address is PO Box
