Manual – How to change a driver card


on a Powerstack

Switch off the VFD, and wait minimum 5 minutes before


you remove any covers on the cubicle. Measure the
voltage on the copper rails, and be sure the place is
safe to work.

!!!Obey the 5 Safety precautions!!!

- Information -

1. Remove the old driver card.

 Check visually, where and how the card is connected to the


Powerstack.

 Take care during the whole procedure. Do not use too much
force everything should get of very smooth.
 Mark the plugs with the name of the sockets and disconnect them.
 Remove all screws.
 Unlock all of the black safety pins in the middle of the pin (best with
a small screw driver).
 Remove or disconnect the old board from the Powerstack.

Compare the old driver card to your replacement.

 Check the device number close to connector X4


It should be equal to your replacement.
(Compatible cards can be requested from the Service Hotline)

 Check the color codes of below marked resistors they should be


equal to your replacement, if otherwise replace the resistors on your
replacement card until both cards are equal.

 Compare all jumpers. Both cards need to be equal.

Install the new driver card.

 Take care during the whole procedure. Do not use too much
force everything should get on very smooth.
 Lock all of the black safety pins.
 Reconnect all screws.
 Reconnect the marked plugs to the correct Terminals.
 Check visually, if everything is installed and reconnected properly.
 Reinstall all Covers.

Test new driver card.


 Power up VFD.
 Reset all Failures on the VFD.
