Legal Frameworks and Policy

In all of my practicums I have aimed to follow each school's legal frameworks and
policies. This can be applied to professional conduct as a student teacher, dress
code and being respectful of other staff. For my PS3 I explored the student and
parent handbooks to ensure I was up to date and in the loop on the procedures of
this school. There are times where as a student teacher, I had to take a step back
and consider the right course of action and sometimes this looks like reaching out
for support on student issues. For example, a student brought a knife to school for
an art project and hid it from his parents when they came in for interviews. I
brought in administration and was able to seek out a proper solution to ensure it
was appropriately dealt with.
