Reported speech in times of pandemic.

These are 4 sentences that the leaders of the Uk have said in Times of pandemic.We´re going
to imagine that we had to tell someone else what Boris and Queen Elizabeth,the
inmorta,have said. So, we have to rewrite the sentences using reported speech,that is
changing the verb tense of the sentence to a previous one.

Reported: He said (that)he thought that they could turn the tide within the following 12
weeks.

If you´ve paid attention not only the verb tense has changed but also the pronouns and the
time references.

Reported:She said while they had faced challenges before,that one was different.
While can be used as although

Reporting verbs: to make reported speech we can use said,told but be careful:

Also we can use claimed that,explaind that,suggested that,point out,added that.That is always optional.
