JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title : Associate Director


Location : Damansara, Petaling Jaya

Job Responsibilities

• To develop, produce, implement and improve the policy and framework.


• Leadership and Developmental role towards staff competency and growth.
• To assist the Head of Department in the sourcing, planning, developing, executing,
monitoring all initiative.
• To monitor the status and implementation issues of during the project period.
• To monitor and liaise with all Projects stakeholders on various follow up initiatives.
• To conduct and manage the engagement processes with internal and external stakeholders
in respect to Business Development.
• To identify and match suitable players to projects and manage their key roles to ensure
successful implementation.
• To manage and support the capacity development of Bumiputera Start-ups and Bumiputera
Supply Chain companies to enhance Bumiputera participation.
• To coordinate the internal teams in preparation for the implementation of Bumiputera
projects’ processes.
• To develop ideas and identify opportunities for policy in various sectors.
• To manage and create opportunities on cross sector initiatives that supplements the Project
such as financing, ICT, logistics etc.
• To liaise and attend meetings with other departments; necessary to perform duties,
contribute ideas and support the effectiveness of the company.
• To execute relevant tasks as assigned by the Management.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Accounting / Finance / Economics / Business Administration or professional


qualifications from recognized university/institution. MBA will be an added advantage
• Minimum 10 years of working experience in strategic and business development with at least
3 years at senior managerial capacity
• Have experience in related industries/ economic sectors or Consultancy work e.g. project
management, advisory, corporate planning and strategy
• Possess in-depth knowledge of key industries/ economic sectors, and has good appreciation
of Economics.
• Proven leadership skills – experienced in leading teams on projects.
• Proven track record on delivering big projects and results.
• Demonstrates strong organisational skills.
• Experienced in managing stakeholders and senior civil service officers.
• Able to influence, engage and articulate views and ideas clearly.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proactively employs strategic and critical thinking in solving issues and challenges – exhibit
sound practical judgment.
• Action-oriented, independent, self-motivated and highly driven.
• Prepared to work long hours, under pressure and within tight deadlines.
• Good-interpersonal skills and strong presentations abilities.
• Creative thinker and able to work as a member of multi-disciplinary team.
• Ability to prioritize and organize work efficiently to meet deadlines.
