11-ABM B PERFORMANCE TASK IN THEOLOGY

Vocation campaign
First of all, I am honored to be part of the webinar: Vocation Campaign. After
experiencing the talk, I gained more knowledge about our chosen vocation. I have learned that
when God calls me, I should respond to His call. If I get called, I must do my responsibility as a
chosen one. I must have the courage to respond to His call. I learned that I should never be
afraid in taking the path He has prepared for me. We are called to be Holy. We have ambitions
in life. Each and everyone is capable of achieving it, and we must know where we should go to
cross that path. Vocation is all about happiness. When we feel empty of our chosen vocation,
then it is not the right one. It is okay to take a different path because by then, we can go to our
designated path. If you feel something about it you should take whatever it is to achieve or get
it. We don’t know if we have enough time or a second chance and grabbing that opportunity is
the best rather than regret.
At first I had no ambition in life. I just want to live as it is. But during the talk, I
realized many things. I realize that I can do more. And that there is a future ahead of me. The
sisters and the priest shared their story on how they found their vocation. They have amazing
stories on how and what challenges they get through before becoming one of them now.
Vocation means a call and a gift. I have learned that all of us have ambition when we are young
and it changes as the time flies and as what we have experienced in every life. There are
different paths to take in life: single blessedness, married, and religious. Being single is focused
on their career and family. A married person focuses on their children and husband or wife. And
religious vocation focuses on God and self-giving. As I heard the stories of the sisters and the
priest, I was amazed by how God made them realize and experience things before calling them.
Before, I thought being a sister and priest was not easy because they didn’t see their families
every day. They must feel lonely. And I thought they were somehow regretting their choice. But
I now know that as long as you’re serving God, and as long as you’re happy and content, you
won’t feel empty. It is clear from the talk that focus is very important. Find your purpose. It is
not an obligation but an act of love.
Therefore, if God calls you, be responsible and take His call with ease. Never hesitate
to answer His call. Not everyone has the chance to be called, so do not let go of the
opportunity. Grab that opportunity because you will never know what’ll happen if you let it
pass. The call is special. Find a vocation that will make you happy and content. Let us always be
careful of our choices. Vocation is not only for you, but also for your community. We are not
only serving God but also the people around us. Some of the people who truly found their
Vocation are Saint Augustine of Hippo, Mother Dionola and Mother Cecilia Talangpaz. And they
lead a very happy life. We may always head to the wrong path, but at the end we will go to the
path where we truly belong. Let us all be brave in following and finding the path God prepared
for us.
