1. Which general or world view philosophy best fits with your own views of reality? Why?

I think progressivism is the world view that fits the view of reality the best, because it's about
development and learning by doing. I believe that putting yourself in action and doing it by
yourself is the best teacher. If you take action or are the one who performs the actual task, you
will learn something. Progressivism helps in facilitating interaction with others and developing
social qualities such as cooperation and tolerance for different points of view. Progressivism fits
the view of reality in a sense that it can cultivate your own learning and make development out
of it. I believe in outcomes and do not only impart facts.

2. What have you learned from the history of education that is related to these metaphysical
philosophies?
The history of education is very broad in the sense that it can relate to metaphysical philosophies.
Fundamental reality is important in sharpening the education system. It helps with how our
education system is built to create a realistic outcome for future use. Different eras presented in
the timeline show how the history of education evolved to how it is today. It teaches us how the
goals of education changed over the course of time, as well as the curriculum, agents, and its
influences on western culture. This can direct us to the future of education and where we might
be in the future in terms of the evolution of education.

3. It is said that an image is worth a thousand words. What might be your image metaphor for
each of these world or metaphysical philosophies?
Whatever the world or philosophy, if you can find, relate, and connect to an image, or work of
art that you've seen, you can connect to it. Spyglass, for example, since he helps individuals have
a better understanding of the world around them. A spyglass may appear to be a basic piece of
equipment, but it has a lot more going on than you might think. You peer via an eyepiece on the
front of the spyglass. The eyepiece's purpose is to bring an image you're looking at into focus
and enlarge it so you can see it clearly. It provides insight and information gained from
observing things from a fresh perspective. It's the same with philosophy: whether you believe in
classical or current ideologies, all you have to do is stare into the eyepiece and everything will
become clearer, as you've never seen it before.

4. Based on the lesson on symbolic-interactionist theory and the movie, The Little Prince, what
does this quote mean: “Words are a source of misunderstanding?” Any personal message? Write
it down.
Words can be interpreted in different ways. Depending on the tone, the phrasing, or even the
people who are saying it, it can change the meaning of words. As a future educator, I believe that
my words hold power and I must choose how I say things to avoid misinterpretation by my
students, peers, and colleagues. I must hold myself accountable for the words I say, as people
view things differently from different perspectives.

5. Explain how schools can help counteract the negative traits of Filipinos
You must first acknowledge that the character has a flaw before you can counteract it. Before
any countermeasures can be taken, schools must admit the presence of these flaws. Then, schools
can conduct training and seminar workshops to help students learn about these character flaws.
The availability of study materials and self-improvement books can also help to mitigate the
problem. Furthermore, teachers and faculty members should have a positive impact on students
by demonstrating that they are not contributing to the shortcomings identified.
