Read the passage below carefully and answer the questions that follow.
Vivian Soh, a year-four pupil, shows her friends that age does not stop
her from earning money. She has a small business selling handmade
accessories and handicrafts. From only a small sum of money given by her
visiting uncle, Vivian buys colourful beads, buttons and threads instead of using
them to shop herself. Vivian makes them into colourful bracelets which she sells
to her friends.
The profits from the sale kick-start her business. She buys cloths, along with
the beads, buttons and threads. She makes pencil cases, purses and key rings
using the materials. According to Vivian, she learns to make the products
herself, using books and online videos as references. ‘It is not easy in the
beginning, I practise and make a lot of mistakes. I have to thank my
grandmother who has taught me the basics in sewing and my parents, for their
moral support when I have almost given up,’ Vivian says.
Today, Vivian’s business is doing very well as she uses Facebook and
Instagram to promote her products. Other than being a young entrepreneur,
she is also an honour student. ‘I’m going to further my tertiary level studies
overseas and I’m happy to say that I might not have to burden my parents to
pay for the fees now.’ says Vivian, smiling.

One day, a squirrel met a fox. He greeted the fox, ‘Hello, Brother Fox,
how are you?’ The fox stared at the squirrel and said, ‘Who are you? I cannot
simply be your brother. I have no relative like you – short and small in size !’
‘What talent do you have?’ asked the fox. The squirrel replied, ‘I am not
as talented as you are but I can climb a tree.’
‘That is a small matter. I have plenty of talents, which can fill a big
basket !’said the fox.
Just then, a hunting dog appeared suddenly from a bushy nearby. The
squirrel quickly climbed up a tree while the fox ran away.
The hunting dog ran very fast and he easily caught up with the fox. The
squirrel shouted to the fox from atop of the tree, ‘Brother Fox, use your talents
to save yourself !’
Well, the fox could not do anything at all. He was killed and carried away
by the dog.
