2. Gaseous Emission
All of the 320C,322C vehicle has EPA Tier1 labeled and certified engine. All of the 320C,
322C sold in SCM, CAPL, COFA, NACD, CACO are designed with world wide standard in
terms of gaseous emission.

3. Engine Arrangement
All of the 320C,322C vehicle has same basic engine world wide, however the alternator
capacity and pulley ratio is differentiated due to market requirements.

3-1.Water Separator
From C-series, all vehicle is standard wah Pmicron fine filteration fuel system. The water
separator is equipped with Stanadine separator except for 320C SCM vehicle.

4. Cooling Capacity
The standard cooling capacity for the 320C and 322C are 43C for OSJ.However, the 320C
ISJ machines' cooling capacity are 41C,where 322C ISJ machines' cooling capacity still
remains at 43C. The high ambient and semi high ambient attachments are available. The
popularity of these attachments varies by the market.

4-1. High Ambient Attachment

By attaching the high ambient package, the vehicle would obtain cooling capacity up to
52C. The high ambient attachment is most popular in NACDICACO market Also, the high
ambient attachment is 100%attachment for the India version. The availability and pulley
ratio is as follows;

4-2. Semi-High Ambient Attachment

Only 320C has semi-high ambient attachment to compromise cheaper priced attachment
which would improve cooling capability. The cooling capability would not improved as much
as the high ambient attachment, the semi-high ambient package would obtain cooling
capacity nearly up to 46C. The semi-high ambient cooling capability is obtained by the extra
air inlet provided on the right hand service door. The semi-high ambient attachment is

43. Fixed Oil Cooler Attachment

The 320C and 322C has swing out oil cooler as standard for easy cleaning. However, for
the 320C SCM and CAPWOFA version only, the fixed oil cooler attachment is more popular.
. As of end of year 2000, almost 60% of 320C sold in SCM market were shipped with fixed

type oil cooler.

44. Cold Weather Start Attachment

The 320C and 322C has cold weather starting attachment for cold region. The content of
cold weather start vary by the vehicle.

320C ,Cold Weather Start

The cold weather start capability is achieved by insfalling 4 larger capacity batteries. This
cold weather start attachment would resist -30C. tnside SCM, there is attachment called
semi-cold weather start which installs same larger capacity battery but o ~ l 2

322C Cold Weather Start

There is two types of cold weather start for the 322C.The one is ether starting aid, and
other is cold weather starting. The ether starting aid would resist 3 2 C and cold weather
starting would resist -26C,Basically, the cold weather start capability is achieved by
installing 4 larger capacity batteries and high capacity starter motor. Adding ether start kit will
improve -6C more.

5. Hydraulics
5-1.CyIinders
There is two types i f cylinders for these two vehicles. One is standard and another is for
the high temperature resistance cylinder. The high temperature resistance cylinder has
urethane seal which has higher performance in high temperature. High temperature seals
are designed for oil temperature of -1 OC to -1-120C.Standard seals are designed for oil
temperatures of -20C to +90C.High temperature seals are not suitable for cold climate
areas.

Cylinders with high temperature resistance seals can be converted to standard ones.

5-3.Fine Swing Control Attachment

Fine swing control is swdard equipment for NACDICACO. It is not common attachment
for Akashi-produced machines shipped to CAPLjCOFA. And those produced to SCM market

5 4 . Hand Control Pattern Changer Attachment

There is two types of pattern changer attachment to accommodate each regions popularily
.of control pattern. Vehicle for NACDICACO are provided with two way pattern changer. And
COFA, SCM vehicles are provided with four way pattern changer. CAP1 region does not
offer any pattern changer attachment.

6. Electronics
6-1. Wiring Group
From various regional preferences of attachments, the wiring group is different by it's
destination. Basically, the differentiation could be grouped by ISJ and OSJ. OSJ is only
compatible to the SCM popular attachments and most likely not compatible to the NACD
attachments. ISJ wiring groups are 'ready' for the NACD preferred attachments.

6-2. Power Supply Attachment

here are two options for the power supplies; 12Vjlx7A and 12~12x7~
power supply. There
are preferences of supply number by the region of these two options.

COFA territoj. Only SCM does not provide this attachment.

There are regional differences on the power link Basically, the NACD, CAPL and COFA
vehicles are provided with "with lifting bar power link". However, the SCM vehicles are
provided with "without lifting bar power link". Addition to above classification, the
manufacturing process adds more variations.

8. Cab
Various differences exists by it's destination.

Cab Window
Various types of materials are used for the window shields. The material type and location
varies by the vehicle destination. All Akashi produced machines except for 320C's exported
to western hemisphere have tempered safety glass in area other than the upper windshield
which is laminated glass.Aurora produced machines have pofycarbonate wlndows except
for the windshield which is also laminated glass and the door window which is tempered
safety glass. Both tempered and polycarbonate windows meet requirements of OSHA and
other worker safety regulating boards.

Skylight
Addition to the cab window differentiation, there are two types of cab with only difference
being skylight, One is polycarbonate skylight and another is metal roof hatch. here is metal
hatch roof type cab only destined to SCM

Guard Boss
The cab with guard boss is provided to accommodate those needs for the guards. The cab
with boss is po~pularin CAPWCOFA area.

Vandal Guard BO&

The cab with vandal guard boss is provided to accommodate those needs for the vandal
guard. The cab with vandal guard boss is popular in NACDICACO area.

The languages on monitor are packaged by the certain region. These packages are
capable of down flushing, however language available for each region just out of plant are

Air cond'ioner is standard for Aurora produced machines but is attachment with low usage

9. Counter Weight Attachment

The counter weight differences are classified by ISJ and OSJ.The OSJ counter weight has

10. Travel Alarm Attachment

Travel alarm is required by OSHA in the USA and is standard on all Aurora produced
machinea. Travel alarm is an attachment for Akashi buitt machines but has low or no usage
on machines shipped to SCM,CAPL and COFA. Travel alarrn can be retrofitted.

Travel alarm part number is 183-1037 for both 320C1322C.

11. Films, Manuals

All Akashi produced machines shipped to CAPL, COFA have English language films,
warnings and Operators & Maintenance Manuals. Those shipped to SCM customers havfe
only Japanese films and manuals.
