1. What is a True Colour Test? (1 mark)
Answer. True colour test is the self-assessment test for the assessment of
personality traits of an individual. It helps in getting clear understanding about
the personality of an individual. It comprises a set of questions having
different options which are correct as per different perspectives from people
having different personality. By answering the questionnaire, and the
summing up the total, individual can attain the total of his score which is
further used in determining the colour of the personality type. Four different
colour divisions are provided to represent four different types of personalities.
By being aware of his type of personality, an individual can discover his future
careers.
2. Why do we use the True Colour Test? (2 marks)
Answer. True colour test helps in getting the clear understanding about the
personality of an individual.
It can be beneficial for the students as they can opt their career choices as
per the type of their personality.
Workplaces often use true colour test to understand personalities of their
different employees and make them learn to value their differences.
It helps in determining the person’s goal of life.

and their colour. (1 mark) e.g. Bob-Blue, Jenny-Orange, Yogesh-Green

4. Where you surprised at your result? Explain why (1 mark) If you are in a
group, then just choose one person and discuss
Answer. No, the results were not different than the expectations. Since gold
represents tradition, dependability, and authenticity. People with gold type
personality are likely to value the integrity and responsibility and can be
consider as trustworthy friends as well as reliable employee. I can relate
maximum of the colour characteristics with my actual self; therefore, results
are highly accurate to the best knowledge of mine.
5. Kim, guest speaker mentioned 6 different forms of communication. List 4
ways that people communicate. (4 marks)
Answer. According to the speaker, following can be four of the six different
forms of communication used by people to communicate;
a)Verbal communication: It refers to the form of communication comprising
the use of spoken words or some sort of language for the purpose of sharing
information. Verbal communication can be done wither directly face to face or
through communication channels such as radio, mobile, etc.
b) Non-verbal communication: It is the form of communication which does
not involves the use of sign or other language for the purpose of sharing
information. Rather, it involves the utilization of gestures, tone of voice and
other passive communication elements in order to express thoughts and
feelings.
c) Written communication: It refers to the form of communication comprising
use of written media such as memo, letter, etc. for the purpose of sharing
information. It is considered to be the most form type of business
communication.
d) Visual communication: It refers to the form of communication involving
the use of visual elements such as map, chart, etc. for the purpose of sharing
information. Most of the time, visual communication is accompanied with
either verbal or non-verbal communication for complete understating of the
message.

Answer. Following are the characteristics of individual’s personality
represented by gold colour;
People with Gold colour personality are trustworthy friend.

They send to attain high level satisfaction for their performed tasks.

9. List 2 ways how they like to be praised (2 marks)


Answer.
They often like to be praised for helping their loved once.
They also like to be praised because of their strong family values.
10. List 2 traits associated with self-esteem for the colour you have chosen (2
marks).

11. What type of careers are these people usually in? List two (2 marks)
Answer. People with gold type personality are likely to be in the
profession of accountant or logistician.
Why would an employer want to use this test for either training or
development? You have to write down which one you chose to discuss.
If you do not write it, there will be no marks awarded (2 marks)
Answer. Employer is likely to use the true colour test for training of the
employees. The purpose of the test is to assess the type of personality of
trainees which are to be trained by the employer. By being aware about
different personalities of trainees, employer can understand their need and
the most appropriate method for their training in order to derive maximum
training outcome and productivity from them. It can help employer to
customize the training program as per the need of the individuals.

and secondary colour? Support your reason. If you guess right, you will get
2% bonus
Answer. Since the instructor seemed to be highly organized person with great
consciousness towards perfectionism, she is likely to have primary gold colour
representing her personality.
Secondary colour of her personality is likely to be blue as people with blue
colour personality are usually seen in the teaching profession.
