ANIMALS

GENERAL STATEMENTS
It it undeniable that, biodiversity has declined at an alarming rate in
the recents years, laegely as a result of human activities.
It it a fact that,Unfortunately, human activities greatly contribute to
the loss of biodiversity.

Causes
1>Alteration and loss of naturl habitats:

The transformation of the natural areas determines not only the loss of
the vegetable species, but also a decrease in the animal species
associated to them.
To explain this, when humans alter the environment artificially
for their settlement, agriculture, mining, industries, roads and other
construction purposes ,they destroy animals’ natural habitats.
As a result of this, the species must either adapt to the changes in
the environment or move to other places. If not, they become target to
predation, starvation, disease and eventually die.

For instance, several rare white-lion species are facing extinction

due to their place of living was ruined by humans in India.

2>Overexploration of natural resoueces:

when the activities connected with capturing and harvesting (hunting,
fishing, farming) a natural resource in a particular is sustential, then this
area will become exhausted.
For example: too intense farming exhausts the soil; too frequent
fishing, which could not leave enough time for fishes to reproduce, and
this makes fish disappear.

3> pollution
Pollution negatively changes the flow of energy, emission of co2

into the atmosphere drastically change the climate of the globec;

Therefore, a lot of species cannot survive under such unhealthy

weather and die out.

3>Collection for Zoo and Research:

There are numerous Animals and plants are collected for

zoos and biological laboratories. This is majorly done for
research in science and medicine. Beasts such as monkeys
and chimpanzees are sacrificed for research because of their
genetic body structure are ALMOST SIMILAR to mankind.

4> hunting by people:

Hunting of wild animals is done for the commercial utilisation of

their products.
These include hides and skin, fur, meat, tusk, cosmetics, perfumes,

pharmaceuticals, and decoration purposes.

Raising and killing animals and birds for their fur, silk, skin and

feathers must be banned. Animals like crocodiles and tigers now

face the threat of extinction because they are killed for their skin.

Peacocks are also becoming an endangered species. Governments

all over the world must enact stringent laws to prevent the

exploitation of animals in this manner.

In recent years, for example, over one-third of Africa’s elephants

have been killed in the last decade to collect their precious teeth.

Effects of Loss of Biodiversity

1> disturb food-chain

The negative effects of the loss in biodiversity from a

healthy stable state include dramatic influence on the
world’s food-chain. Even reductions in only one
species can adversely affect the entire food chain
which further leads to an overall reduction in
biodiversity.
>>For example, if cats were to suddenly become extinct, there is a
high probability that there will be a sudden increase in the number
of bugs that cats feed on. This may introduce new challenges for
humans due to the potential viruses these bugs will spread or the
agricultural damage they will cause.

2> increased Contact with Diseases

The loss of biodiversity has two major effects on

human health and the spread of disease. Firstly,
it increases the count of animals carrying disease
in local populations. When people distroyed the
home of animales’,these species move to other
places,where they meet new animals having serious disease ;

whenever they get in touch with human-beings this virus

automatically transmit to human body and make them ill.

For example, in 2020 , Covid virus came from the bats and it

infected myrid of population all over the world.

Solutions:

protecting natural areas

Some possible solutions to this problem are protecting natural areas

and promoting awareness among people. By protecting areas where

human activity is limited and avoiding overexploitation of natural

resources, we can save the untouched remainning parts of the

environment and prevent species from dying out.

Awareness among people.

Moreover, the next step in fighting bio-diversity loss is spreading

awareness amoung the general population about the dangers of this

problem;make them inform about the importance of every species to

run food chain effectively. This way, people will be more conscious of

the environment and will not overuse or destroy its resources.

2> Government should invest more money to make zoos and protect

natural habitates of wild animals.

They can reduce the deforestation done by people for their personal

use;and provide them land for living.

Also they must make strict low against hunting animals in order to

protect wild life.

Animal Testing

Animal Testing is a hotly debated topic in our society. Animal

testing uses animals and organisms as a test subject and are

exposed to clinical trials before conducting human trials.

Scientists use them to determine the effectiveness of a drug

or other products and see any side effects. There are two

groups of people, one which strongly supports this measure,

from a medical point of view, and the other, which doesn’t.

ANIMAL TESTING IS MUST:

1> FROM MEDICAL POINT OF VIEW it is acceptable to test new
drug on animals before actual use on human-beings;with the help
of it we can find the cure of serious desease without secrificing
human life.
With the invention of medicine and various drugs,
today we are able to save millions of lives from
death and illness.

For example,in 2020, when Covid virus became uncontrolable

than with the help of research on rats scientist invented cure for
such desease, which protect thousand of people’s life.

Also,By testing on beasts could help to

advance medical and scientific
knowledge.Indded, it may be possible to find
cures of cancer and AIDS in the future with
the help of this testing tecnique.

2>Moreover, while people derive benefits

from animal experimentations, other forms of
wild life also benefit from the test results as
those animals may also suffer from the
similar diseases that people experience such
as Cancer and Asthma.
On the other hand :
1 >human have no moral right to do any type
of experiments on animals.they calim that by
doing this experiments, animals suffer from a
lot of pain.
2 >they also opine that there are some
alternative ways to replace those creatures
subjects in tests.
For example, advanced technology
like a computer program which shows the
suitability of a new drug on the human
immune system can be used for medical
research

3 >In addition, they feel that many tests are

not really important, and in fact animals are
not only used to test new medicines but also
new cosmetics, which could be tested on
humans instead

4>Another issue is that sometimes an experiment

on animals gives us the wrong result because
animals’ bodies are not exactly the same as our
own.
As a consequence, the tested drugs may not
be improve human health instead it give rise to
another desease in humanbody.

In conclusion, I am of the opinion, on balance,

that the benefits do not outweigh the
disadvantages, and testing on animals should not
continue. Although it may improve the lives of
humans, it is not fair that animals should suffer in
order to achieve this.

In conclusion, there are convincing arguments

both for and against animal tests. Although
exploiting those animal lives seems cruel, their
sacrifice is essential for the long-term survival of
human and other live organisms.

In conclusion, using animals for our profit should

be encouraged only in exceptional cases. Animals
also have a rightful place on this planet and it is
our duty to protect them.

Vegetarianism
hernivals
supporters:

General>It it unneceessary to kill animals for

food:
we don’t have moral rights to kill animals for
personal use.
1>People kill animals for food, but without eating
meat healthy diet is possible.
For example, years back, there was thousand of
breave hundu warrioress, who had very good

health and strong pysical body only by having

vegetables in thier diet.

2> Vegetarians believe that meat is unhealthy

because of the diseases it has been connected
with it. There has been much research by
science, which suggest that red meat is
particullary bad for health ,if it is consumed more
than 60% than it can leads to serious desease like
cancer. Also, meat alwayes contains high amount
of fats ,so people, who has been surfering from
diabetes if eat this food as a primary source, than
he might get died out.
Non-vegetarian
carnival
However, there are strong arguments for eating
meat.

1>The first reason is that as humans we are

designed to eat meat, which suggests it is not
unhealthy, and we have been eating meat for
thousands of years. So, it it completly natural for
us to kill animals for food.

2>Secondly, meat is a rich source of protein

which helps to build muscles and bones.
Vegetarians often have to take supplements to
get all the essential vitamins and minerals.

3> Finally,in some cultures, meat is the main

ingredient in traditional meals/functions

Finally, it may be the case that too much meat

is harmful, but we can easily limit the amount
we have without having to cut it out of our diet
completely.

ZOOS
BENEFITES:
1. Zoos are useful as an educational tool.
When families visit the zoo, they get to witness animals which may not be
possible to view in their local region. There is the controversial
entertainment consideration about going to a facility to look at animals for
fun, but there is also the chance to learn a lot of valuable information about
each species.
Most zoos offer tours that can take you behind the scenes so you can see
how trainers feed the animals and work with them. There are information
points that you can find along the way so that children and adults can
increase their knowledge. It is usually easier to retain info when you can
interact with the animals instead of seeing their picture in a book.

4. These facilities help us to conserve/PROTECT

endangered species.
Zoos have brought several animal species back from the brink of
extinction. The Arabian oryx was hunted to extinction in the wild, but the
Phoenix Zoo worked with other conservationists to bring the species back.
Przewalski’s horses were also extinct in the wild but are now coming back
to a population in the thousands after only a dozen were left. California
condors were down to 27 before facilities in Los Angeles and San Diego
started breeding programs to protect them.
Several other animals can take credit for their survival thanks to zoos as
well. The Corroboree frog, bongos, Regent Honeyeaters, and the Bellinger
River Snapping Turtle have all benefitted from the conservation process.
5. Zoos provide an economic boost to their community.
Zoos can be a local, national, or international attraction that people want to
see. These attractions are often safe spaces for young families to come out
and enjoy a day together. School trips come out to these facilities as a way
to help kids learn more about the animals. The facilities create good-
paying jobs, encourage entrepreneurs to be active in their community, and
provide indirect benefits to local businesses as well.
6. Animals receive the veterinarian care they might need
for their survival.
Most zoos in the United States (roadside zoos can be an exception) have
on-site medical facilities and care options for every animal in the facility.
If there are any health concerns that come up, then the vets can provide the
necessary intervention almost immediately. When you are managing some
of the rarest or most endangered creatures in the world, this advantage
makes it possible to halt extinction events in some situations.
Vets also design breeding programs that can help the numbers of a specific
animal species to begin recovering. There are regular assessments for
infectious disease, parasites, and other concerning health dangers that
wouldn’t be available in the wild.

DROWBACKS
1. When animals are born in captivity, they become
dependent on humans./RELY MAINLY ON HUMANS/
THEY LOST FREEDOM TO HUNT FOR
FOOD.THEY BECOME DEPENDENT ON HUMAN
ONLY.
The reason why most of the animals that are in zoos today are the
offspring of captured animals from the generation before is the fact that the
descendants are unable to cope in the wild by themselves. Having a
successful breeding program can save a species, but it can also create
lucrative profit opportunities for the businesses involved.
Unless there are specific, protected areas for the animals, such as the
Przewalski’s horses being released into the Chernobyl exclusion zone,
most will fail to make the transition. That means the animal has no choice
but to stay in the facility for the remainder of their life.
6. A zoo can be focused on the profits instead of the
welfare of the animal.ZOOS EXHIBITS ANIMALS
WITH THE AIM OF MAKING MONEY.->WE HAVE
NO RIGHT TO USE ANIMALS FOR
ENTERTAINMENT AND PROFIT.

Conservation facilities and breeding programs are a way to save

endangered animals, but they can also become a marketing gimmick.
Customers need to come through the doors to help a zoo stay financially
sound. Because of the ethics of animal captivity, more people are staying
away from these facilities today than in the past, which emphasizes the
need for survival. The behind-the-scenes practices can make few efforts to
live up to the morals and ethics of animal care.
This disadvantage means that it is up to each of us to work with local
facilities who have a mission to protect animals and to do so in the right
way. When we can work together, we can save or conserve many species.

9. Conservation programs do not guarantee the survival

of a species.-->THEY HAVE BEEN KEPT IN CAGES WHICH DO NOT HAVE TOO
MUCH SPACE AS COMPARE TO NATURAL HABITATS.

Giant Pandas are in zoo conservation programs around the world,

generating money for China in the process. Until the 1990s, only 3 in 10
attempts at breeding were successful in confinement. Even if the first stage
of the process was successful, only 40% of the cubs would make it through
their first days of infancy.
Today’s zoos have more than doubled the survival rate of these animals,
but it also creates a situation where there is yet another issue of
dependency. The cubs that are born in captivity cannot return to the wild.
That means they will rely on us for their survival for the rest of their life.
THE BEST WAY TO SAVE ENDANGERED SPECIES IS BY
PROTECTING NATURAL HABITATS.

ANIMALS RIGHTS:

1>ANIMAL TESTING/EXPLIOTING.

FOR:
1>HUMAN SHOULD BE PRIORITISED OVER ANIMALS.
THIS IS TO SAY,IT IS MUCH MORE BETTER FOR ANIMALS
TO SUFFER THAN FOR A HUMAN TO DIE.

>>>>For FINDING A CURE FOR HAZARDOUS DISEASE,IT

IS ESSENTIAL TO TEST DRUGS ON ANIMALS TO ENSURE
THE EFFECTIVENESS AND POSSIBLE SIDEEFECS OF
IT,BEFORE ACTUAL USE OF IT ON HUMAN BEING.

>>>If THIS CAN NOT DONE,THEN IT MIGHT BE CAUSE

POEPLE’S LIFE.

>>>For INSTANCE,IF COVID VACCIN SHOULD BE

UTILIZED FOR TRAATING PEOPLE DIRECTLE BEFORE
TESTING ON ANY ANIMASL,THAN LOTS OF PEOPLE
WILL BE DIED.

2>the creatures do not feel pain or loss as human do,so if they

might be died while testing or for food, then this is morally
acceptable.

3>With the help of animals ,we can find new traatment and
medicines ,which can save lives.
>>For example, from last 20 -year,it has been possible to found
numeer of drugs and vital medicines to cure serious disease.such
as plasma,T-virus,colera and corona virus.

Agains
1>animals feel as much pain as human do.
Thay are often suffer from serious disorder.

2>They sufffer when they are kept behind tha cage within a small
artificial room.

3>Testing new drugs often kiied them, ans aslo it does not

gauranteeed that ,it will work 100% on human.

4>According to the scientific study, human can survive without

eastion meat or any animanl product.
In fact thay can have all essential nutrients for weelbeings from
fruits and vegetables. Therefore, animals should not be exploited
for any kind of needs.

VEGETRAIN:

Against:
1>many people choose a vegetarian diet for moral and health
reasons,
>>It has been researched that, eating meat can cause serious helth
issues, such as cancer or heart attack, especially eating red meat.

2>It is unethical to kill animals for food and personal uses.

>>accoring to the scientific study, human cn survive without
eating meat ,in fact they can have all essential minerals and
protiens ,nutrients from fruits and vegetables.
3>Meat has high amount of calories and fats and sugar, which can
cause hazardous helth problems, such as diabetes, cancer, heart
attack and obesity.

For:

1>our body is designed in such a way that we can cosume meat.

Which could not cause any helth illness.
>>Foe example,we have been eating meat and theri product for
thousands of years but still we are fit and strong.

2>Meat is a rich source of protein ,vitamin and minerals ,which

could not visiable in vegetables.
This can help our body to bult muscles and strong bones.
>>Vegetarians often have to take supplements to get the essential
vitamins and minerals as compare to non-vegetarian person.

3>Meat-eater argue that animals are below human in the food

chain,so it is completely natural for us to kill them for food.
>>It is fact that,in many culture, meat is the main ingredient in
traditional meals.
