 ABSTRAK

Skripsi ini membahas tentang Realisme yang terdapat dalam novel Robinson
Crusoe karya penulis Inggris, Daniel Defoe. Dalam novel ini penulis menjabarkan
mengenai aliran realisme yang terdapat didalam novel Robinson Crusoe berdasarkan
character, plot structure, and setting.
Skripsi ini terdiri dari empat bab. Pada bab pertama menjabarka secara
singkat mengenai sastra. Selain itu penulis juga memaparkan latar belakang
permasalahan, tujuan pembahasan, pembatasan masalah, metode yang digunakan
dalam analisis dan buku-buku yang berhubungan dengan pembahasan dalam skripsi
ini.
Pada bab kedua menjabarkan secara singkat tentang realisme, dan
characteristic tentang realisme, dan terakhir tentang kemunculan dan perkembangan
realisme.
Bab ketiga merupakan penjabaran dari seluruh isi skripsi yang mengkaji
realisme yang terdapat di dalam novel Robinson Crusoe. Dan bab keempat sebagai
kesimpulan dan saran.
Pada akhir skripsi, penulis menceritakan secara singkat tentang Robinson
Crusoe yang bertujuan memudahkan pembaca dalam memahami topic yang akan
dibahas dan sedikit tentang kehidupan pribadi pengarang novel Robinson Crusoe,
Daniel Defoe.
