This letter is to recommend Mrs. Adrienne Tew for the Grade 2 DMLT position. I have known Mrs. Tew at
Bester Elementary since the 2019 school year in the capacity of a 1st/2nd grade teacher, grade level team leader,
and as a SIT member. Mrs. Tew is a dedicated professional who strives toward building and improving her
capacity as a teacher on a regular basis.

She establishes positive relationships with both her students and fellow staff members. I personally witnessed
how Mrs. Tew nurtures and fosters caring interactions in her classroom, building a strong sense of community
among her learners and helping each one of them to find comfort and success in her learning environment.
Specific specialties of Mrs. Tew include utilizing data to drive instruction, scaffolding instruction, and utilizing
cooperative learning and student discourse to propel student performance.

Mrs. Tew is knowledgeable of math instruction and has implemented Illustrative Mathematics with fidelity this
past year. She is an active participant during CFIP and Collaborative Planning sessions, and is a strong leader
among her team in terms of planning units of instruction collaboratively. As a result, Mrs. Tew has willingly
opened her classroom for colleagues within our school. For example, she is a member of a PLC group focusing
on Targeted Math Instruction in which colleagues visited her room to receive tips associated with the planning
and implementation of targeted math instruction. This experience has ignited Mrs. Tew’s passion for
instructional leadership has led her toward establishing mentoring and coaching opportunities among a variety
of staff.

I highly recommend Mrs. Adrienne Tew to be considered for the Grade 2 DMLT position. Mrs. Tew will be a
