INTRODUCTION

ICT, or information and communications technology (or technologies), is


the infrastructure and components that enable modern computing. Although there is
no single, universal definition of ICT, the term is generally accepted to mean all
devices, networking components, applications and systems that combined allow
people and organizations (i.e., businesses, non-profit agencies, governments and
criminal enterprises) to interact in the digital world.

COMPONENTS OF AN ICT SYSTEM


ICT encompasses both the internet-enabled sphere as well as the mobile one powered
by wireless networks. It also includes antiquated technologies, such as landline
telephones, radio and television broadcast -- all of which are still widely used today
alongside cutting-edge ICT pieces such as artificial intelligence and robotics. ICT is
sometimes used synonymously with IT (for information technology); however, ICT is
generally used to represent a broader, more comprehensive list of all components
related to computer and digital technologies than IT.

Information and communications technology (ICT) can be defined as: all the
technologies used to handle broadcast media, telecommunications, intelligent
building management systems (IBMS), network-based control systems, audio visual
processing and transmission systems and others.

BLOG:

Blogger is an American online content management system (CMS) which enables


multi-user blogs with time-stamped entries. Pyra Labs developed it before being
acquired by Google in 2003. Google hosts the blogs, which can be accessed through a
subdomain of blogspot.com. Blogs can also be accessed from a user-owned custom
domain (such as www.example.com) by using DNS facilities to direct a domain to
Google's servers.A user can have up to 100 blogs or websites per account.

Google Blogger also enabled users to publish blogs and websites to their own web
hosting server via FTP until May 1, 2010. All such blogs and websites had to be
redirected to a blogspot.com subdomain or point their own domain to Google's
servers via DNS.. Google Blogger has a wide international user base and is available
in more than 60 languages, despite its decline in popularity in the United States.

How Google blogger works?

If you want to write blog posts, you need a blog to hold those posts. Google’s Blogger
is a free, simple blogging platform that’s packed with useful tools. Here’s how to get
started. If you’ve ever gone to a website that had “blogspot” in the URL, you’ve been
to a blog that uses Google Blogger. It’s a very popular blogging platform because it’s
free—you just need a free Google account, which you’ve already got if you have a
Gmail address—and you don’t need to know any technical wizardry to set it up or
publish your blog posts. It’s by no means the only blogging platform, and it’s not the
only free option, but it is a very easy way to start blogging.

STEPS OF CREATING BLOG

Create Your Blog

To begin, you’ll need to log into your Google account. For most people, this means
logging into Gmail, but if you don’t already have a Gmail account.

Once you’re logged in, click the nine-dot grid in the top right to open the list of
Google apps and then click the “Blogger” icon

On the page that opens, click the “Create Your Blog” button

Choose a display name that people will see when they read your blog. This doesn’t
have to be your real name or your email handle. You can change this later.

Once you’ve entered a name, click “Continue to Blogger.”


You’re now ready to create your blog. Go ahead and click the “Create New Blog”
button.

The “Create a New Blog” panel will open, where you need to choose a Title, Address,
and Theme for your blog.

The Title will be the name that’s displayed on the blog, the Address is the URL that
people will use to access your blog, and the Theme is the layout and color scheme for
your blog. All of these can be changed later, so it’s not critical to get these perfect
right away.

The Address of your blog must be [something].blogspot.com. When you start typing
an address, a helpful dropdown shows you what the final address will be. You can
click the suggestion to fill in the “.blogspot.com” part automatically.
If someone has already used the Address you want, a message will be displayed
letting you know that you need to choose something else.

Once you’ve chosen a Title, an available Address, and a Theme, click the “Create
Blog!” button.

Google will ask if you want to search for a personalized domain name for your blog,
but you don’t need to do this. Click “No Thanks” to proceed. (If you already have a
domain you want to point your blog to, you can do this at any point in the future,
but it’s not necessary.)
Congratulations, you’ve created your blog! Now you’re ready to write your first blog
post. To do this, click the “New Post” button.

This opens up the editing screen. There’s lots you can do here, but the basics are to
enter a title and some content.

Once you’re done writing your post, click “Publish” to make your post live. This will
make it available for anyone on the internet to find.
You’ll be taken back to the “Posts” section of your blog. Click “View Blog” to see your
blog and your first post.

And there’s your first blog post, ready for the world to view.

ICT in marketing provides companies with easy access to vast global information
resources and facilitates valuable competitive knowledge and consumer information
that simplifies the decision process. Some of the ICT powered marketing channels are
social media marketing, search engine marketing, content marketing, affiliate
marketing, E-mail marketing, and SMS marketing. ICT provides support to business
clients by creating a network of agents that can cover the target territory and develop
sales. It requires investing in all marketing activities needed to create the
customer's brand recognition and managing the exclusive representation of the
customer’s products in the territory directly, promoting sales through ICT’s network.

interact directly with customers one to one globally. Realizing this potential and cost-
effectiveness of blogging, Swayamsiddha Foundation and NGO had created a market
blog to display SHGs products. Other ICT tools include radio, television, internet, email,
computer, mobile, hardware, software, and other communication technologies.

Infact the social web has created new and personalized needs of customers. It has
created the platform for the marketers, customers and innovators to build the
relationships. The emergence of new e-business models is becoming popular with the
aid of ICT. Technologies like CRM, ERP, and intranet, etc. are also ICT tools.

Undoubtedly the ICT is a useful marketing tool and is pervasive for successful
organizations. Information Communication Technology indicates its vitality as a
marketing tool. It has become difficult to imagine an organization without an ICT.

The intensive use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in marketing


makes the organization innovative. It helps them perceive that the usage of ICT
breaks down the barriers to innovation and speeds up the process that makes them
