Dear: António Guterres
Cordial greetings
I want to express the problem that is causing the misuse of technology in the environment, as this
has always had a negative impact on the environment every day that man advances in his quest
for economic resources to meet their needs, the environment suffers serious consequences for the
excessive and uncontrolled use of chemicals that generate pollution.

Global warming and environmental pollution are also caused by the impact of industrial activity
through the emission of greenhouse gases, which retain heat and whose levels are increasing.
During the last decades, the earth has been suffering a strong degradation caused by excessive
population growth, poverty, generating scarcity of natural resources day by day consumption
levels increase developing countries seek to meet the demand with their industrial activities
generating large levels of greenhouse gases have increased and decreased during the history of
the Earth, but have remained fairly constant over the last few thousand years. Global average
temperatures have also remained fairly constant over this time period until recently. By burning
fossil fuels and other greenhouse gas emissions humans are increasing the greenhouse effect and
warming the Earth. This phenomenon is actually causing a number of changes in the Earth's
long-term weather patterns that vary from place to place.

While it is true that technology was one of the causes of environmental pollution and was related
to the deterioration that nature has been suffering, I can say that it is also necessary and should
be used for the recovery of climate change, because governments must take the necessary
measures. I recommend to the United Nations to use it as a tool to mitigate the harmful effects of
gases, for this I recommend to the United Nations that in their government policies to promote
the growth of clean or green technologies, this should be carried out by implementing the use of
renewable energy as this will help reduce or replace the use of products such as petroleum and its
derivatives that are very polluting, I also recommend increasing the use of electric vehicles,
strengthen the solar energy sector as this light is environmentally friendly and thus stop the use
of polluting products, and rather that countries promote research and innovation processes that
promote sustainable economic growth and promote development. Therefore, the scientific
community seeks to generate an impact on industrial activity through these processes that today
we call 'New Technologies'.
In conclusion, I can say that today more is done to pollute than to conserve and protect the
environment.

Sincerely
Olivia Cardozo
