Provided field services for new product testing - Project Logistics Management (
PLM) a real time asset tracking system for construction sites, which involved on
site safety orientation, background checks, drug testing, producing & issuing s
ite specific picture ID, providing 24 hr gate security with scanning equipment,
scanning all human & vehicular traffic entering & leaving site, assisting in har
dware and software development & trials, monitoring site safety against orientat
ion, recording infractions in real time using picture ID barcodes. PLM is still
in development and has been trialed by Skanska USA.

* Managed new review process involving GC, sub contractor, suppliers and struc
tural engineer resulting in a reduction from 6 to 5 pours on the parking decks &
altering the upper floors from a 12-day cycle to an 11-day cycle, demanding pre
cise scheduling to day time periods and clear communication at daily meetings.
Scheduled top out was 30th January 09, actual top out was 10th December 08, a sa
ving of ~ 7 weeks.
* Designed & Implemented new leading edge protection system, using steel angles,
and aircraft wire. System was anchored on the slab edge allowing block work, w
indows & doors & balcony railing to be installed without the need for tie off, r
esulting in increased production and safer work practices.
* Developed new process for shop drawing submittals, using Adobe Design Review,
a process allowing on-line collaboration from all trades, clearly identifying an
y conflicts or errors with clouds and dialogue bubbles encompassed in a single d
ocument, reducing turnaround time by a minimum of 72 hours., this process allowe
d 2nd & 3rd tier subs/suppliers view the approvals within 24 hours, providing up
to 5 additional working days for fabrication/delivery. All paper copies (requi
red by the contract) were electronically scanned and upload to an FTP server.
* Managed on site workforce of over 200 carpenters, masons, concrete finishers,
steel fixers, lay out engineers.
* Achieved a buyout of over $1.2 million, by separating the structure into separ
ate work packages, (formwork, concrete, rebar, rebar placement, stud rails, PT c
able and concrete finishing).
* Created and managed a very detailed delivery/hook time schedule, dictated by t
he building footprint covering 93% of project site. Requiring early approval of
all submittals (completed within 6 months) and an accurate material take off for
each delivery. Despite these restrictions every pour date in our 15-month sche
dule was achieved, topping out on our milestone date.
Construction Manager - McDonalds - McCafe Program (2009)
Functioned as owner's Construction Manager, handling contractual process from pr
e-construction to final account & handover, effectively communicating between, o
wner, general contractor, equipment suppliers and 3rd party vendors,
* Ensured that each store was completed within the 5-night schedule, achieving 9
6% of target completion dates.
* Implemented a structured 3-visit schedule focusing on safety, production & qua
lity, over the required single visit, which resulted in no lost time injuries an
d reduced punch lists from an average of 37 items down to 12.
* Achieved a 92% compliance with McDonalds internal tracking system.
* Defined a structured timetable of events agreed at pre-construction meeting, t
o include punch walk dates, final sign off date, 90% payment and final payment,
reducing punch list sign off from average 6 weeks to 16 days and reduced period
of credit from an average of 67 to 21 days.

cess after first 4 units, resulting in an overall saving of 4 days per home (alm
ost 5% on total schedule).
