Activities:

1. In Class Prep
Students will learn vocabulary on food and food descriptions. Students will practice how to
describe different dishes and learn about different dishes native to Spanish-speaking countries.

2. FlipGrid Activity (Homework)

• Students will access their FlipGrid code on PowerSchool
• Students will need to either visit a Hispanic restaurant, or create a dish native to a Spanish-
speaking country. On the FlipGrid, students will need to:
1. Submit a 2-minute video describing the dish they’re eating
2. Describe the food, and list most of the ingredients in Spanish
3. Show the food in the video
4. The video must be 100% in Spanish.
5. Students will need to respond to at least 5 other students’ videos in Spanish using
expressions similar to “¡Qué rico!” or “¡Qué asco!”
• If students do not have internet access while at a restaurant, students are able to create a
video using their iPad and upload it to the FlipGrid later (students will be able to upload
videos in class if need be)
