MRI

Sequences: Sagittal T1, T2 & STIR, Axial T2 WI, coronal STIR.

Findings:

Lumbar spine:

Grade I spondylolisthesis of L4 over L5 with break in pars interarticularis.

Sacralization of L5.

Disc dessication, diffuse disc bulge with annular tear noted at L4-L5 level causing thecal sac indentation with severe
bilateral lateral recesses & severe neural foraminal narrowing, compressing over traversing and exiting nerve roots.

Spinal canal measurements:

L1-L2 : 16.8 mm
L2-L3 : 15.1 mm
L3-L4 : 13.6 mm
L4-L5 : 7.7 mm
L5-S1 : 9.3 mm

Vertebral bodies height & signal intensity are preserved.

Spinal cord reveals normal bulk and signal intensity.

Pre & Paravertebral soft tissues are normal.

Whole spine screening:

Loss of cervical lordosis.

Disc dessication changes noted at multiple levels.

Lipohemangioma noted at D11 vertebral body.

Mild disc bulges noted at multiple levels in cervical and dorsal spine causing thecal sac indentation.

Rest of the vertebral bodies height & signal intensity are preserved.

Posterior elements are normal.

Spinal canal reveals normal dimensions.
