ABSTRACT

Corruption is not a thing of recent era; it is present even during the period of monarchy, but it
was so minimal and people are feared to practice corruption due to very strict and ruthless
laws and punishments.
In a developing country like India government role is very important in the development of
the society and country. In India There are more than 10000 elected representatives who
different roles in different levels of government should work effectively and without
corruption to make India a developed country. As per my view and analysis of society the
bitter reality in India is that the elected representatives are the most corrupted in the society,
who encourage corruption in every aspect. As per our perspective of look into this situation,
corruption is done in large scale of money or by large influence of power is done by mainly
the elected representatives of the country. Here we want to discuss how is corruption done by
elected representatives like in what form or way and analysis on the current legal framework
and what can we add to the legal framework so that we can counter corruption which is done
in large scale by the elected representatives. We want to discuss how effective the anti-
corruption laws are effective in a country like India.
