They have been residing at Vibal St. Brgy. 8 Bagumbayan Washington Drive, Legazpi City since 2016. The family is Single parent type. Mrs. Jo Ann, being the
mother and head of the family, and Son being the eldest in the sibling, makes decisions for the family most of the time, while Daughter is responsible for housekeeping, health
status monitoring, and nursing care for a sick family member.

II. Socio-Economic & Cultural Characteristics

Mrs. Mother works as an editor in chief in L&C SEO Content Marketing, while Mr. Son is an IT with a position of Senior Analyst at GDS global services. They have a
combined monthly income of 61,000, which is enough for Daughter, who is a second-year nursing student, and their monthly bills.
Mrs. Mother had been annulled for 8 years. The family doesn’t go to church weekly. Sometimes they attend mass only on the television due to workloads and exhaustion
throughout the week.
All of the family members work together and make decisions from budgeting to the wants and needs. Mrs. Anne and James are working together to support the family,
while Jade does the household chores at home. The bonding of the 3 usually sums up to binge-watching series, listening to music, and playing games. Opening up with each
other is not unusual in the family -- they do it often.

III. Home and Environment

The bungalow 2 bedroom fully furnished house they are residing at is made up of strong housing materials, a good place for a home in spite of the fact that the house
often experiences puddles to flood during rainy seasons due to lack of drainage and trees to sip the water, but it never enters their house. The place has a good light source and
is well ventilated even if the place lacks trees. There were no problems regarding electricity since the brgy is connected at Washington feeder 1, which has the lowest rates of
power interruption in Legazpi. The house also has its own comfort room with an excreta disposal system level 2 (with flush). Jade usually cleans the house everyday. Mrs Anne
and James only help with Jade during their dayoffs and free times. Cleanliness is a must in their home since James often has asthma attacks.
They don’t have their own water tank, they only rely on the water supply by Legazpi City Water District. Few times they ran out of water due to maintenaces of the water
district. They buy mineral water stored in a big container as their source of water to drink.
The family raises 1 dog, which is inside their house. They segregate their garbage from biodegradable, non-biodegradable, and recyclable, which every day there is a
garbage collector collecting the trash, but due to piles of garbage collected by the collector, some days he skips getting their trash which results from fouling smell at the front due
to the biodegradable trash.
The barangay health station is just a few walks from their home, but they never had checkups there.
The family uses a private car and public vehicles like tricycles and jeepneys. Since their house is near the main city, Mrs Anne and Jade walk when going to the public
market also as a mean of exercise. They use cellphones connected to WiFi and landlines as means of communication.

IV. Health Assessment for Each Member:

Previous illnesses of the family include cough, fever, and flu. Mr. Son has asthma, and it triggers when the weather is hot and if the environment is not clean. The family
eats 4 times a day; they eat their meals with rice except for breakfast and snacks. Vegetables, poultry/ meat, is the usual meal.

V. Values and Practices on Health Promotion/Maintenance and Disease Prevention

All family members obtained complete immunization including Covid vaccination. They are planning to get a booster shot few months from now since they are expecting
to travel outside the Philippine boarder. Although the health center is near their place, none of the members had sought medical help due to lack of time, and if asthma attacks
occur, they directly go to the nearest hospital, UST-L Hospital. However, the family is not sure if they are updated in getting their deworming every year. Daughter is sure that she
didn’t get any since JHS. Their hygiene is maintained.
Unlike any other Filipino family, they only follow a few superstitious beliefs. They don’t look at mirrors during wakes, and they respect the elementals.
Mrs. Mother sleeps 8-9 hours but is sleeping at 2 am. Daughter and Son Sleep 7-10 hours depending on their workloads.
