Lesprit.
Respecting the heritage of its colonial architecture, this 19th century manor provides all the
facilities of a boutique hotel, featuring six suites, a swimming pool and a restaurant. Inspired
by its Pondicherian past, the original walls of the old ground floor manor converse with the
white immaculate walls, the teak wood, the glass and the metal of the new extension.
The use of noble and natural materials like precious wood, fabrics, silver cutlery, fine porcelain
along with a distinctive sense of color and detail draws you into the atmosphere of poetic intimacy
and non-ostentatious luxury of this exclusive villa hotel.
• Location
160 km from Chennai international airport (Madras), in the heart of old French town of
Pondicherry, LA VILLA is located on Surcouf Street, known in the 19th century as rue Royale.

• Features
Rooms with 14 feet high ceiling are divided into several areas (seating, sleeping, bathroom,
outdoor area).
Furniture have been designed by architect Tina Trigala and executed by local artisans using old
wood. A subtle mix between local artifacts, antiques and contemporary sensibility bring to the
place a unique atmosphere.
Our restaurant, located in the garden and beneath the arches of LA VILLA, a 19th century
mansion recreating the charm of yesterday, can only seat a limited number of people. As we
strive to offer you the best quality of fresh and local products, the menu is limited though rich in
flavors, colors and textures that will change with the seasons.
The swimming pool, located in the first floor, offers a complete privacy to in house guests.
