RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE USHERING AND PROTOCOL UNIT

IN RECTEM CHAPEL
1. Every member of the unit must be born again.

2. Every member of the unit is expected to have a personal relationship with God (Personal study,
prayer).

3. All members are expected to be in the chapel by 5:00pm for weekly services (Latest 5:10pm),
Wednesday joint devotion service by 7:15am and Sunday services by 6:50am.

4. All Ushering Unit members are expected to attend all meetings and retreats

5. Absence from Saturday's workers meeting, unit meeting and Sunday's workers meeting without
permission is prohibited. Offender will join sanitation unit in their activities for 2 weeks.

6. Late coming to meetings and services without permission is prohibited and offenders will be
joining the sanitation department for 1 week.

7. Absence to worker's or unit retreat without permission is strictly prohibited and offenders will
join the prayer unit for 2 weeks and the sanitation unit for 1 week.

8. Permissions to be absent from meetings or retreats should be taken from the head of the unit and
the male student chaplain.

9. For special services like "Evening of worship" or " Deliverance services", members are to fast
and prayers will be made before the service.

10. Members are expected to be in Formal wear on Sunday services except the First Sundays where
native attire is allowed.

11. Usage of phone during meetings and services is prohibited and the offender's phone will be
seized till the end of the service/meeting.

12. Misconduct during services (i.e. excessive talking, needless discussions and avoidable
disturbances) is an offence and the punishment ranges from Warning to thirty minutes prayer after
the service.

13. Any member who breaks the school rules and is punished by the school with suspension is
automatically dispersed from the unit.

14. Fighting, Violence, Abusive Words, Verbal Assault (within the unit), rudeness to Executives or
Chaplaincy is strictly prohibited and any offender will made to face the disciplinary committee.

15. Misconduct outside of the chapel is an offence and the sanction ranges from Warning to
Suspension.

16. In case of any issue or problem arising within the department, the attention of the leaders
should be called to it for immediate solution.
