"Little red riding hood" a book for all ages
About the Author
Charles Perrault was born on
January 12 of 1628, in Paris,
France. Perrault was a prose
writer, a storyteller, a French
poet, and a leading member
of the Académie Française
who performed a significant
part in a literary controversy
distinguished as the quarrel
of the Ancients and Moderns.
He is best recognized for his
collection of fairy stories for
children. Charles Perrault
first served as an official In
the management of royal
buildings. He began to win
literary fame in about 1660
with some light verse and
love poetry and consumed
the rest of his life supporting
the study of literature and the
arts. In 1671 he was chosen to
the Académie Française.
His principal opponent in
this quarrel was Nicolas
Boileau. Perrault’s stand was
a landmark in the eventually
triumphant revolt against the
confines of the usual
tradition. Charles Perrault
died of natural causes on
May 16, 1703, in Paris,
France. He was 75 years old.

This story leaves a critical
lesson in the dangers of
speaking with strangers.
Only one stranger can
completely change your life.
Children must know that,
and I think it is a remarkable
story in terms of educating
children. There are many
versions, some a little
weirder and more
inappropriate, but they all
leave the same teaching.
Little Red Riding Hood
reflects the attitude of many
girls today, who are not
aware of this danger. I find it
interesting to see how the
insignificant decisions that
take Riding Hood bring
enormous consequences.
Plot
One afternoon, Little Red's
mother ordered her to leave
a basket of cakes for her
grandmother, as she was
feeling bad. Little Red
Riding Hood begins her way
and meets a big fierce wolf.
She starts talking with him,
and her actions are altered
because of him. After that,
the story gets interesting,
and different intense events
begin to happen.
Most Interesting Parts
In earlier versions, the story
was called "The Story of
Grandmother." There was no
red hood, and the wolf was a
wolf-man. In other
arrangements, he was an
ogre. It's a pretty confusing
story, but with an exciting
and interesting ending.
I liked this story a lot; I can
read it repeatedly and not
get bored, thanks to the
author's suspense. The best
part of this story is that
anyone can read it, as it
leaves a fundamental lesson
for all people who are
running the dangers of
talking with strangers.
