PREFACE
HOWDY, VIETNAMESE TRANSLATORS!
WE, VIETNAMESE LANGUAGE COORDINATORS, FIRSTLY WOULD

LOVE TO EXPRESS OUR THANKS TO ALL OF YOU, WHOSE

CONTRIBUTIONS ARE IMMENSELY HELPFUL TO US WITHIN THE

LAST YEARS.

YOU ARE ALL WELCOME TO ask questions, demand further

assistance, help, and so on. let’s make this place a little

more active!

please feel free to send us your feedback on how to

attract more students, and translators; we really

appreciate.

here are some guidelines that all of us should adhere to in

order that we could be more consistent in our future

translations.

but above all, have fun.

1) HOW TO ADDRESS the ‘students’?
Use a neutral tone,

such as:

- ANH / CHỊ
- BẠN / CÁC BẠN
- ta / chúng ta
- MÌNH / chúng mình
- ...

REMINDER: THE MANNER YOU ADDRESS THE STUDENTS is in

accordance with the degree of the lecture’s formality.
you can flexibly change throughout the lecture.
2) translate objectively!
please respect the genuineness of the lecture!

translate as it is, do not subjectively change the content,

even if you ‘think’ it is somewhat incorrect.

reminder:

- YOU CAN start a new thread reporting the inaccuracies

in the ‘gtc discussion forum’ for us to check first.
(recommended)

- or you can personally and directly contact the

coursera help center at http://bit.ly/1mez3bz

- you would be better-advised to discuss the problem with

us first for better understanding and immediate actions.

If you have trouble with any:

- technical terminologies
- specific idioms, expressions, proverbs,
sayings...
- terms that are hard to translate
- anything else!
