PROJECT REPORT

Executive Summary:
Our Project focuses on ‘ Car sales analysis of 15 automobile companies’. Sales analysis is mining
your data to evaluate the performance of your sales team against its goals. It provides insights about
the top performing and underperforming products/services, the problems in selling and market
opportunities, sales forecasting, and sales activities that generate revenue. We have done Marketing
dashboard from taking data from the Market Share and Sum of Sales, Investor Dashboard through
the data of Number of Vehicles sold and Growth and finally finance dashboard through the data of
region wise sum of sales and profit percentage and total revenue.

Problem:
This dashboard report we have created helps us to understand various parameters like year over
year growth, revenue, profit percentage, quarter on quarter growth, vehicle type, transmission, fuel
type, sales level that has an impact on car sales. This is a one-pager summary that can be used by a
person who is a prospective dealer for a car brand. We have made use of 15 Car companies for our
analysis like Lexus, Chevrolet, Maserati etc.

Stakeholders and Use Cases


For this project, our target audience was investors, the marketing team, and the finance
team. So we created three dashboards.

MARKETING DASHBOARD- Which is intended for marketing department will give out
information such as market share of each company in different class of vehicles with
different type of transmission and fuel used.
INVESTOR DASHBOARD- from this dashboard investors will be able to understand the
region wise sales and both year to year and quarter to quarter growth of each
manufacturer.
FINANCE DASHBOARD- This dashboard will give data required for finance executives which
includes region wise sum of sales and profit percentage for each vehicle type and total
revenue generated.
Visualization::
Our project is ‘ Car sales analysis of 15 automobile companies’ and we have created 3
dashboards on the data that we have collected.

1) Marketing Dashboard :-

In marketing dash board we have used three types of charts each for a specific data we
collected.

a) Market share – Pie Chart


b) Sum of sales – Column charts
c) Total Sales – Line Charts
2) Investor Dashboard :-

In Investor Dashboard we have made two separate charts for two different data

a) Number of Vehicles – Bar Charts


b) Growth Rate – Line Charts

3) Finance dashboard :-

In Finance dashboard we have used three charts where we have combined two separate
data in one single chart and another single chart.

a) Region wise sum of Sales & Profit % - Column & Line Cart

b) Total Revenue – Bar Chart


IMPLICATIONS
After analysing the dashboards we were able to find out the following.

 LAND ROVER IS THE LEADING MANUFACTURER WITH 56% MARKERT SHARE
