SCIENCE ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT

NARRATIVE REPORT ON LEARNING ENHANCEMENT:

CONDUCT ONLINE CLASSES USING POWERPOINT AND ONLINE PLATFORM

Benjamin Franklin, an American scientist, and genius said, “Tell me and I forget, teach
me and I may remember, involve me and I learn.” It is indeed a great reminder that learning
is not just about teaching the concept. It requires learner’s involvement and experience to
intensify learning.

The adherence of every teacher to magnify learning never stops, despite of the
challenging force of Covid-19 pandemic. The goal to enrich and arouse the learner’s interest
particularly in Science to lead them to a higher proficiency level has become the core. Thus,
the purpose to foster these learners to love Science has led the Science Teaching Force under
the supervision of the principal Maam Marissa M. Solomon and the Science Coordinator Sir
Melchor A. Fabros conducted an online class using powerpoint and online platform on
October 12, 2020, November 17, 2020, December 5, 2020 and January 30, 2021.

It was truly a new and exciting experience to all learners involve. The joy of seeing their
teachers online was astounding. Their eagerness to participate and to share their thought
towards the topic became very evident. There were 25 students who were able to participate
every session.

Prior to the said online class, the Science teachers had constant agreement with the
parents regarding the activity. Although some were worried that their internet connection
might not be 100% secured, their participation became possible. Topics such as Classification
of mixtures, Homogeneous and Heterogeneous mixtures, and separating mixtures through
decantation, filtration and the skeletal system were explicitly discussed. There were different
activities that stimulated learning and increased their ideas on how Science affects human
beings in their day-to-day experiences.

NARRATIVE REPORT ON 3R’s VIRTUAL CAMPAIGN

The goal of keeping the community healthy and safe from common diseases is one the
major concerns that our government has secured especially now that Covid-19 has still been
monitored.

The community involvement to ensure that everybody, particularly the learners, are
safe and free from illnesses caused by irresponsible waste disposal has been targeted, since
learners are mandated to stay home due to community quarantine. Thus, ways to keep not
only themselves clean but the whole community has become the goal.

The Science Team with the Science Coordinator Sir Melchor A. Fabros conducted the
3R’s Virtual Campaign held on November 17, 2020, and December 5, 2020. This aimed to instill
the value of 3R’s: reduce, reuse, and recycle. This gave the learners definite instructions on
how to separate biodegradable and non-biodegradable materials. The said virtual campaign
focused on the creativity and resourcefulness of the learners in making use of recyclable
materials into crafts and artworks.

The participants were encouraged to showcase their talents and become aware that
there are things that can be made from scraps. This also highlighted the importance of 3Rs to
lessen the volume of garbage thrown each day. The children enjoyed and were able to send
their artistic works online.
