To keep the good working performance of equipments, exert the plants’ efficiency,
prolong the service life, make higher and stable benefit, reduce or even avoid abrupt faults,
the plants must be operated properly. The maintenance is the base of various works
including management, operation, maintenance and repair, is a positive preventive works,
and is also the objective requirements for the system running.

In the process of long-term and different environment, the motion of matters and
chemical action will lead to abnormal phenomena which is hard to avoid, for example,
component wear, aging, looseness, corrosion, enlarged interspace and other hidden dangers,
if these abnormal phenomena are not disposed in time, the original balance will be
influenced directly, the reliability, stability and benefit will be reduced, inherent

As we all know, the ultimate purpose of the maintenance is to improve the running
conditions, keep all kinds of performance index, increase production rate and utilization,
prolong the service life and avoid the unnecessary damages.

For this purpose, scientific and effective administrative mechanism must be built, that is,
increasing the daily management, combining theory and practice, making the maintenance
schedule scientifically and reasonably, and emphasizing “prevention first, maintenance
based”.

Routine maintenance is to inspect and maintain the plant regularly, and to keep the
records of operation and maintenance, certainly, referring to the instruction book is also a
good choice.
