glove knitting machine, SHIMA SEIKI s new SFG™20 is designed from the
ground up to become the new global standard for ultrafine gauge
gloves. Inheriting the know-how and experience accumulated over the
years as the leading manufacturer of automatic glove knitting machines,
the new prototype machine carries over proven SHIMA SEIKI technology
such as our original sinker knitting system, stitch density control, and
centralized lubrication. In addition, new features such as a removable

Improved 3-Finger Palm Device
For an even more natural fit, the 3-finger
palm device knits the upper palm
portion below the middle three fingers
separately from the rest of the palm.
With the pinky joint mounted lower
than the rest, independent movement
allows for a more comfortable, better
fitting glove. Unlike previous devices,
the new and improved version performs
without affecting the width of the pinky.

A Smaller, Lighter Machine
SFG™20 requires up to 25 per cent
less installation space, and is up to 25
per cent lighter in weight than the
SFG™-I series. More machines can be

New Controller Unit
A new computer-control unit features a
USB memory interface that allows data
transfer of large file sizes to support
increasingly complex patterns and
designs. An external operation panel
offers is sold separately improved
ergonomics and graphic interface
for intuitive operation, while menu-
interactive function buttons offer easy
input and editing.
CE Mark for Reliable Safety
(CE versions only)
Developed for the European
Community, CE version features an
integrated safety cover with interlock
mechanism and a signal tower for
instantly communicating operational
conditions. The CE Mark attached to
each CE version is a symbol of SHIMA
SEIKI s commitment to the safety and
reliability of its products (Safety cover is
optional on other versions).
