___________________________PART I: ARTIFACT DESCRIPTION_________________________

Date of Activity: All semester

Time of Activity: Varies
Objective: To prepare for federal grant funding through collection, analysis, and
distribution of data.
LKES Met:
Description of Task: I worked all semester to collect data from multiple sources in order to
prepare our application for federal funding of our CTAE department. I
worked to identify needs through data collection and stakeholder
conversations that I used to formulate our Perkins application.

___________________________PART II: ARTIFACT REFLECTION_________________________

Date of Reflection: 4/26/22

Time of Reflection: 8:30pm
Goal: I reflect on the processes taking to prepare the application and see if
these processes were the most effective and applicable.
Level of Involvement: As CTAE Director, it is my responsibility to fulfill these grant
requirements and submit the correct documentation on time and as
requested. I have written the entire application and compiled all the
data references from multiple sources.
What I Learned: I learned that this application requires long term and in-depth
planning. It also requires me to be involved in the local community to
get the information required for the documentation. I learned that
different stakeholders have different agendas and it is important to
identify their agendas seek diverse opinions to make sure the
application is filled out as effectively as possible and in ways that will
impact students positively the most.
Strengths and/or Challenges: I have made good community connections over the past several years
and was able to leverage those connections for stakeholder input for
this process. I am new to this position and this application, so
everything has been a learning experience.
Response of Others: Everyone is willing to provide input and seems happy to be listened to.

School and county administration has seemed grateful for my work in

this area and seem pleased with the results.
Benefits/Contributions: Local business owners and stakeholders have provided important
input through conversations, surveys, and local workforce data. CTAE
teachers at the high school have given me information about their
pathways at it pertains to the application. County office staff have
given me guidance when I have asked.
Further Efforts: My application is still incomplete and I will continue to hold
stakeholder meeting for input until the end of the school year. Next
year I will work to budget the funds we receive as I said I would in the
application.
