3. Safety

• The equipment must only be used by specifically

trained personnel.
• The operator must read through all instructions and
follow them.
• The operator must not use the equipment if a fault is
indicated on it.
• Incorrect use or disregard of the safety regulations
in force could cause serious personal injury or
damage to property.
3. Safety

• The operator should be highly familiar with the

machine's risk areas. For the machine-related risk
areas the operator is referred to the documentation
of the individual machine.
• The operator should pay extra attention to
individuals and equipment in the vicinity of the
machine since it could obscure them.
• The operator should note that even if the machine is
under remote control it could still be maneuvered via
the controls in the cab. The operator should
therefore exercise caution when entering and
leaving the cab.
3. Safety

• The machine shall be equipped with a beacon. This

beacon starts to flash when the manual/remote
control switch is switched over to remote.
• The RF-link LED on the machine and operator unit
starts to flash when the distance between the
operator and the machine starts to become too far.
3. Safety

! Machine stop only works when a remote link has been

connected. Prior to this machine stop has no effect on the
machine.
3. Safety

• The operator unit is equipped with a tilt sensor.
