To whom it may concern,

The Ranger Book Club at Riverside High School is planning a field trip to the UTEP Library
& Art Museum this upcoming May. We are asking for your help with any donations that can
facilitate our 17 students with an aim to not only partake of an amazing experience aimed at
post-secondary exploration but also serves as a beacon to promote literacy for our school and
within our community.
BACKGROUND TO OUR CLUB
With the collaboration of a few intrepid teachers at Riverside High School, we are happy to
announce we have started the very first “Ranger Book Club”. The aim of our nascent circle is
to affect a positive change for our community in the form of encouragement and support for
reading within our student population. Not only will they achieve greater and grander
academic success, which is of course something we hope to influence, but we hope to foster
in each of our students a life-long love of the written word. With these very important goals
in mind, we would love to extend a cordial invitation for you to join our collaboration to
promote the success and growth of the club. Your collaboration is crucial, as we know it will
make an indelible impression on our students and teachers.
We greatly appreciate your time and generosity! Anything you would be able to donate
would be an immense help to us! To recognize you for your EXTREMELY generous
contribution, we will be thanking you over our Twitter posts during the field trip day.
Please, feel free to make a copy of this form for your business records. If you have any
questions, please do not hesitate to contact any of our four teachers who facilitate the Ranger
Book Club. Once again, thank you in advance for your time and sponsorship of the Riverside
High School Ranger Book Club. We look forward to working with you on future projects!

Thank you,
