Subject: Invitation to Interview for Validation Test

Greetings!

We, the undersigned, are 4th year BS Civil Engineering students currently conducting a validation
test as part of our ongoing project for the course ENGG 405 – Technopreneurship. We are
performing our validation test through interviews and on-site observation to ascertain the problem
we have identified regarding the flood control and management system of our target customer
Barangay Libjo, Batangas City. In line with this, we are inviting the barangay officials of Barangay
Libjo to be part of our validation test through an interview. We have deemed it necessary to gather
data from a highly reliable source like your office.

Our ongoing project seeks to create solutions regarding the flooding problem in Barangay Libjo
that still affects its residents. We also consider the flooding that occurred during severe typhoons
that hit the barangay like Typhoon Rolly and Typhoon Jolina.

The interview only takes about 5 to 15 minutes and is very informal. We only want to capture your
thoughts regarding the problem we have identified. We ought to gather data about your current
activities and programs to combat the flooding in your barangay. Moreover, your responses will
be treated with confidentiality and will only be utilized for our course in Technopreneurship. We
will also assign each interview with a number code to ensure that personal identifiers will not be
revealed during the write-up of results. Your office’s participation will be a valuable addition to
our ongoing project.

Your attention and favorable action on this request are highly appreciated. Rest assured that our
group will abide by the safety protocols while conducting the interviews and on-site observation.
