Preparation of spreadsheet on the information of the Class A and Class B contractors

ABSTRACT
The task is the preparation of the spreadsheet which includes the information viz. Name of the
contractor, their respective contact numbers, their respective email address and the company they
are involved in.
The tool or method used in this task is MS EXCEL which provides the platform to classify data
under the justification of rows and columns where one particular row explains the information of
the contractor.

INTRODUCTION
Nowadays data collection, classification and the generation of information from the specific data
electronically has become crucial as this is the age of computers and ever changing technologies.
We get a schematic information from the data when well classified. Previously the task of data
collection were done using pen and paper (or a booklet), but these days electronics devices are
on the go hence electronic data collection mechanism is preferred. This task is also an example
of the use of data collection using the digital platform.
In this task the prevailing information of the respective contractors are well collected/constructed
with their respective contact details and company details.
The purpose of the task is also to help the further usage and manipulations i.e. Email Marketing
and Social Media Marketing.
The collected information can be used to target the respective contractors so that only they get
the deals information (Graphical posts that explain the deals) through the emails or through the
social media Viber.

LITERATURE SURVEY
For the collection of data, the reference used was the open sourced booklet viz. Nepalese
Construction SOUVENIR 2018 [1] in which the information of the Class A, B, C and D
contractors were included. Among them the information of Class A and Class B contractors were
selected and classified in the spreadsheet.

METHODOLOGY
In the booklet Nepalese Construction SOUVENIR 2018, in the later section was the
information of the contractors along with their name, company name and their contact details.
The task is solely based on the information presented there. Among the list of Class A, B, C and
D contractor, the information of the Class A and Class B contractors, being the targeted group,
are extracted and classified in a spreadsheet.
The task was done in 5 sessions of time:
1st session: 51.40
2nd session: 12.36
3rd session: 49.04
4th session: 36.40
5th session: 31.25 (Report Making)

RESULT
As the result a spreadsheet with the information of targeted group of contractors is constructed so
that the specific data can be used in order to proceed the Email Marketing and Social Media
Marketing.

DISCUSSION
Now we have the specific data set which can be used to target the specific contractors through
email or Viber in order to send them the information of the deals and quotations.
Some of the contractors do not have either contact number or email address but that can be
extracted through the professional profile i.e. LinkedIn as they are the professionals and might
have the profile.

CONCLUSION
In this manner the Preparation of spreadsheet on the information of the Class A and Class B
contractors task is accomplished and now the further task which included the Email Marketing
and Social Media Marketing can be proceeded.
