Description of artifact/assignment:
My Current Grades for the last semester of high school.

Why did you choose this as one of your artifacts/assignments?

I chose my grades as an academic artifact because they mean something to me.

These grades show that I made it. This is something where I don’t care about other people’s
opinions, just my own. I will be graduating with the rest of my class on June 10th, 2022. Now, I
walked into my senior year not knowing anything about what would happen in my life. I went on
independent study and lost all hope for myself. When I returned back to school, I had exactly one
D, one A, and the rest were F’s. This shows that I tried my best, instead of giving up.

What academic skills did you use that are specific to this artifact/assignment?

I used responsibility in order to achieve this, now did I use it as much as I should’ve? No,
but I wouldn’t have brought my grades up without using even just a little bit. It was my
responsibility to do this, not anyone else’s.

What general academic skills did you use (skills that would be used in any academic class)?

I used academic skills such as setting time aside to do homework and study for tests. I
used as much class time as I could to do work.

Did you see growth in your targeted soft skills through the course of working on this
Artifact/Assignment? Explain.
I saw growth from the grades I had coming back to school in January. I could have
decided to leave them the way h-they were, but I used responsibility to get those grades up.

Provide an example of how these academic and/or soft skills are used in a career in which
you are interested.
Responsibility is used in any career that somebody will be interested in, in order to keep a strong
job you have to be willing to put in effort.
