Classroom expectations
My classroom is one where you will get to dive deep into literature and explore worlds
like you’ve never seen before. Everyone will get the chance to express themselves and their
thoughts in my class, but to do this, we must all be prepared for the day and respectful to others.
Being prepared and respectful can mean something as simple as having your phone turned off
and put away or being ready to engage in a full class discussion. Respect is something earned,
and I expect you all to show the same respect and kindness I show to you to myself and other
students.
(Supplies)
1. Chromebook charged and ready to go
2. Notebook and pencils
3. All textbooks/readings for the day

(Discipline Policy)
My classroom is based on respect and a dedication towards learning. If you create
distractions for yourself or others from learning, there will be repercussions. Be respectful and
kind to others so that you may receive the same respect and kindness back.

1. Verbal Warning
2. Second verbal warning
3. Talk with me after class
4. Call home and with principle

(cheating)
(School’s cheating policy goes here)
Plagiarism results as an automatic zero. Your work must be yours and yours alone.

(late/makeup work)
I am not running a crazy dictatorship here, but there has to be some order. Any late work will
automatically be dropped a letter grade for each day not turned in. Please keep an eye on Google
Classroom for assignment details. If you have to miss class for some reason, talk with me ahead
of time to get the work you missed. It is up to you to turn in all work missed one day after you
get back from missing school. However, I am human, and I do realize that there could
unanticipated circumstances. We will take those on a case-by-case policy. Please talk to me
about those privately and we will find a solution. IF there is any extra credit this semester, it will
be made available to the whole class, but please do not anticipate having any. I am creating
several opportunities for you all to get easy points this semester as long as you turn work in on
time.
