Types of Dragon habitats

Mountain

In the west, hunt for caves among high mountaintops; in the east, pay attention to areas around
streams, lakes, and waterfalls, as well as any volcanos. Almost all of them are more often found
on rocky lower slopes than in the higher regions with the exception being frost dragons which use

snowy mountaintops as resting points during their migratory flights between the poles.

Woodland

Look for smaller varieties as large specimens cannot squeeze between the tree trunks
and tend to stick to more open ground.
Jungle

Perhaps the most difficult place to track dragons, due to its dense, shadowy
undergrowth. Pay particular attention to clearings, especially those containing ancient
runes, and keep a constant eye on the skies overhead- you are far more likely to see a
dragon flying above you than to encounter one amongst the vegetation on the ground.

Dragon Diet and description

European and more generally western dragons tend to be fearsome and ruthless creatures. As such, they
eat meat 🥩, and, if the prey is still alive, all the better. Any sizable animal is fine for western dragons:
sheep, cows, goats, pigs
In Chinese mythology, dragons are considered as gods and associated with water 🌊. For instance, the four
dragon kings of China (the Azure Dragon, the Red Dragon, the Black Dragon and the White Dragon) live
in and protect the four seas. As such, they eat fish, crustaceans, sharks, whales and seaweed.
Fire-breathing dragons need a special diet in order to produce their powerful flames 🔥. There are a few
theories explaining how dragons breathe fire. One theory is that they produce phosphine, a highly
flammable gas, by slowly digesting certain types of rocks that contain it. Another theory is that they have
some kind of biological flame-thrower mechanism, allowing them to store and expel oil at a fast speed.
This explains why dragons sometimes "eat" rocks or other mineral substances: they are a key element
in their ability to breathe fire.
