IV. PROCEDURES
A. Springboard/Motivation (Establishing a purpose Activity 1: Describe Me
for the lesson)
 Show pictures to the learners on different way’s how to show
respects to our family, community and to other people.
 Ask them to describe what they can tell about the pictures.
 Tell learners to respect the idea of each learners in doing the
activity.
 Have free expression of freedom of speech. Ask a student to
complete a circle and answer the following questions:
 How do you describe a nation that is free? Provide its
features. Student answers will be written on the chalkboard
guiding students' responses.
B. Activity (Review of previous lesson/s or Activity 2: Video Presentation
Presenting the new lesson)
 Present a video presentation to the learners on different
Filipino culture on how to show respects to our elders.
 Let learners give attention to the video.

Ask:
 What is the video all about?
 Did you like what you saw on the video?
 Have you experience a showing respect to your elders?
 Why did we need to respects our elders?
 Why do we value the important lessons our elders teaches us?
 Why do we need to listen to their own ideas and feelings?
C. Analysis (Presenting examples/instances of the Activity 3: (Expressing My Freedom)
new lesson)
 Have learners free expression of freedom of speech.
 Ask a student to complete a circle and answer the following
questions:

 How do you describe a nation that is free? Provide its


features. Student answers will be written on the chalkboard
guiding students' responses.
 How important to have a own free country?
 What are our privileges if we live in a free county?
 Are you proud to be called a citizen of this county?
 Why?

D. Discussing new concepts and practicing new Class Participation

 Learners will open their module on page 1.
 Let them read the text on the picture.
 Let them answer some questions on that page.

E. Discussing new concepts and practicing new Activity 4: Role Play


skills (sub-activity #2)
 Learners will do a role play base on the comics strip on page 3-6 on
the module.
 Let learners internalized their character to the play to make it more
interesting to other learners.
 Learners will respect how the role play being done by interpreting the
tone of voice of each character.
 Give credit to the learners who done the role play.
 Ask questions after the play.
 Let learners respect other learners own ideas or feelings base on
their answers.
 Discuss page 7 on the module

Ask:
 What is the role play all about?
 Who are the main character of the role play?
 Did you listen very well on the play?
 Did you interpret the tone of voice on each of the character during
the play?
 Did you understand the play?
 What are the symbols to be displayed in the flag?
 What's the color of our flag?
 Give the meanings of the symbolizing butterflies.
 Give also the meaning of the three color flags.

F. Abstraction (Making generalizations about the Activity 5: Answer it Well


lesson)
 Give each learners an answer sheet base on the page 8.
 Give them 10 minutes to answer the test.
 Check their answers afterwards.

G. Application (Developing mastery) Activity 6: Think-Pair-Share


 Learners will choose their own partner.
 Let them answer the questions on the module pp. 9.
 Let them think their answers and share to their classmates their
answers.
 Let learners show respect to each pairs own idea or answers to each
questions.
 Learners will answer pp. 10 on the module by knowing what are the
different shapes of our National Flag.

H. Valuing (Finding practical application Ask:

 How can you show respects to others own ideas and feelings in
patronizing their own National Flag?

I. Evaluation (Assessing learning)  Learner's will answer the different questions in What Have You Learned on page
12 base on the module.

J. Agreement (Additional activities for application or


remediation)  Using "bond paper" and crayons, draw the flag and color
according to the education. Imagine a guide to determine if the
work is correct. It can be displayed to friends and homebuyers
and to inform the meaning of our flag.
