IV. PROCEDURES
A. Springboard/Motivation (Establishing a purpose Activity 1: (Present Me)
for the lesson)
What does each slide about?
In looking for a job, how will prepare yourself for employment?
Will you seek advices when you are in doubt of something?
What is the feeling when you hear success stories of teachers?
B. Activity (Review of previous lesson/s or Activity 2: (: Fill In, Move Back)
Presenting the new lesson)
 Group the learners into five.
 Each member of the group will be given a number that
corresponds to the information that they will fill-in on the
biodata.
 Each member will fill-in the data one by one.
 When the signal is given, each player will write his or her entry
and move back after filling out the biodata.
 End the game by saying “congratulations”.
Ask:

 How did you find the activity?


 What insights did you get from the activity?
 Is writing legibly and neatly necessary in writing the information
in the biodata? Why?
 What will happen if we will not fill-out the biodata neatly and
legibly?
C. Analysis (Presenting examples/instances of the Activity 3: (Present it Well)

Ask a volunteer to portray as a “job seeker” in your town.

He/She may inquire 5 different persons.

The first question trying to ask is the career opportunities available in your
hometown.

The second question intends to seek information on the kind of work a person
has.

The third question trying to ask is on how a person able to apply to that kind
of work.

The fourth question seeks to answer the best experience happen at


workplace.

The fifth question asks about ways to prepare in the intent of joining any
work.

The above statements give us an idea of what informational interview is.


F. Abstraction (Making generalizations about the Activity 4: Webbing
lesson)
 Group learners into two; give each group a pen and a manila
paper.
 Let them answer some questions based on the Symantec
webbing below
 Let them used the format of the web in putting their answers
inside of it.
 Let the group have a reporter to present their work in front of
the class.

 What do you mean by informational interview?


 What are the importance of informational interview?
 What compensation might a company might give you?
 Why work environment is important in a job?
 Why benefits is necessary to the employee?

G. Application (Developing mastery) Activity 5: (Role-Play)

 The learners are going to have a role-play. The teacher will read
a scenario and give the mechanics for them to act out.

 Scene 1: Rinna wants to get information on one of job prospects


she wanted to have. She interview Mrs. Perez on the
compensation that a sales attendant can have.

 Scene 2: Margie, a teacher applicant, interviews cooperating


teachers and asks information on the maternity benefits she can
get once hired.

 Scene 3: Joseph prepares a passport. He intends to apply as


Overseas Filipino Worker. He wants additional information on
the kind of work environment in Hong Kong.
H. Valuing (Finding practical application Ask:
