IV. PROCEDURES
A. Springboard/Motivation (Establishing a purpose Activity 1: Describe Me
for the lesson)
 Show learners some famous people whose age are above 60
years old and called senior citizen.
 Show learners also some activities senior citizen and ask what
can they tell about the pictures.
 Ask learners who among them have a member of the family that
are senior citizen.

B. Activity (Review of previous lesson/s or Activity 2: Video Presentation
Presenting the new lesson)
 Present a video presentation to the learners on different
situation of our senior citizen now a days.
 Let learners give attention to the video.

Ask:
 What is the video all about?
 Did you like what you saw on the video?
 In your barangay do you have many senior citizen?
 Is there some private or government organization who help them in
your community?
 Why do we need to recognize or give credits to our senior citizen?

C. Analysis (Presenting examples/instances of the Activity 3: (Show-Me)

Activity 4: Role Pay

 Choose learners who will do the conversation on the comics strip


on page 2-6 on the module.
 Learners will listen attentively to the conversation in order to
recount accurately specific details of informative oral messages in
the conversation done on the role play.
 Learners will answer questions on page 7 on the module base on
the conversation.
E. Discussing new concepts and practicing new Class Participation
skills (sub-activity #2)  Continue discussing the lesson on the module on page 8.
 Call learner who will read the scenario on the picture.
 Let learners listen very well to the scenario being read by their
classmates.
 Let them answer some questions on page 9.
 Continue discussing the module on page 10.

 Learners will choose their own partner.
 Give each learner a cartolina or manila paper and a pen.
 Let them think their answers on the questions on the page page 11.
 Each pair will write down their answers on the materials given to
them.
 Let each pair discuss their answers to their classmates.
G. Application (Developing mastery) Activity 6: Read It On
 Choose learners who will read the dialogue on page 12-13
 Learners will listen and take note some important details on the
discussion.
 Ask learners some questions after they heard the discussion.
 Let them answer the questions on page 14.

Ask:
 The meeting is all about ___________?
 Who are the main character on the discussion?
 What activities will be done during that event?
 What will the senior citizen on the barangay do on the said
event?
 Did they agree on the suggestions being rise on the meeting?

H. Valuing (Finding practical application Ask:

barangay or in your family?
