There is no doubt that the business world has changed drastically with
the use of our more modern technologies available to us today . Social media
changing the world in business communication through connection--Rather
than posting information on their products or services, most companies are
using social networks as a way of connecting with their customers,
campaigning, image in which it gives them a more human experiences, and
availability where people can address their concern easier.
2. TYPES OF BUSINESS COMMUNICATION
a. INTERNAL (UPWARD)
This type of business communication is anything that comes from a
subordinate to a manager or an individual up the organizational hierarchy.
Leaders need information to flow upwards to have a true pulse on the
operations of the company. Most communication that flows upward is based
on systematic forms, reports, surveys, templates and other resources to help
employees provide necessary and complete information.
b. INTERNAL (DOWNWARD)
This is any type of communication that comes from a superior to one or
more subordinates. Communication might be in the form of a letter, a memo
or a verbal directive. Leaders should keep communication professional and
clear with subordinates. 
c. INTERNAL (LATERAL)
Lateral communication is the talking, messaging and emailing among
co-workers in the office. This might be cross-department communication or
just internal department dealings. 
d. EXTERNAL
External communication is any communication that leaves the
office and deals with customers, prospects, vendors or partners. It could also
involve regulatory agencies or city offices. Sales presentations or marketing
letters need to be exciting to generate interest from the customer but they also
need to be factually based. 
3. SOCIAL MEDIA AND TECHNOLOGIES
a. BLOG/VLOG – is an online journal or informational website
displaying information in the reverse chronological order, with latest posts
appearing first. It is a platform where a writer or even a group of writers share
their views on an individual subject or a video journal.
b. LINKED IN – a social network for professionals. It likes Facebook for
four career or a social networking designed specifically for the business
communication.
c. TWITTER - is an online news and social networking site where
people communicate in short messages called tweets. Or microblogging
d. FB PAGE - is a public profile specifically created for businesses,
brands, celebrities, causes, and other organizations.
e. INSTAGRAM - is a free, online photo-sharing application and social
network platform that was acquired by Facebook in 2012. That allows users to
edit and upload photos and short videos through a mobile app
f ONLINE SHOPPING - is a form of electronic commerce which allows
consumers to directly buy goods or services from a seller over the Internet
using a web browser.
g. YOUTUBE - is a free to use service and a can be a great space for
teens to discover things they like. For many young people, YouTube is used
to watch music videos, comedy shows, how to guides, recipes, hacks and
more.
h. GOOGLE - search for information about (someone or something) on
the Internet using the search engine Google
I. PINTEREST - is social media network that allows users to share
images associated with project, goods, and services, and to visually discover
new interests by browsing images others have posted.
j. TUMBLR - micro-blogging site which feels like a mix of Twitter,
WordPress, and Facebook. Users can post text, images, videos, audio, and
links. If you follow the blogs of other users, you'll see the content they post in
your own feed
