The Philippines relies heavily on its natural resources for agriculture and industry, but rampant deforestation and pollution are threatening the environment. Deforestation has increased due to demand for wood as a raw material and some unintentional fires, leading to a decline in tree populations. This loss of forests contributes to problems like global warming by reducing the number of trees that absorb carbon dioxide. While some government organizations are working to protect the environment, individual responsibility is also needed to address issues like improper waste disposal that cause flooding and pollution.

Deforestation’s Vulnerability to Philippines and the World
The Philippines is a wealthy country in terms of production because it is an agricultural country. It has a variety of resources that will meet not only our fundamental needs but also our indulgences. This could explain why numerous countries conquered the Philippines, including Spain, America, and Japan. In the sphere of economics, modernization has been slowly taking place over time. Since then, demand has been steadily increasing. As a result, industries have doubled and tripled their output in order to meet demand, necessitating the use of more raw materials than usual. This is OK as long as the manufacturers can replace their resources and the customers can properly dispose of their trash, but that is not the case in the Philippines. Instead of conserving and nurturing our environment, people have abused it by engaging in nature-destructive activities, which has resulted in numerous environmental problems. Environmental concerns are those that have to do with the state of our environment (nature to be specific). It poses a threat to life on Earth due to its negative impacts on both living and non-living objects. These issues represent how disciplined a community’s residents are. It demonstrates how concerned a person is with their surroundings. People, on the other hand, approach environmental issues lightly because they know that no matter what they do, someone will always be willing to take care of their obligations for them. As a result of this toxic mentality, the Philippines are now extremely vulnerable to floods caused by clogged drainage caused by plastics, paper, styro, rubber, and other materials. Deforestation is another example of an environmental issue. Back to the statement that the Philippines has a diverse range of agricultural terrain, which is correct. Because the Filipinos are skilled woodworkers, trees are our principal supply of raw material. As this type of activity continues, we have failed to observe that the tree population is slightly declining as a result of the wood-cutting activities as well as some unintentional forest fires. The dwindling quantity of trees will lead to a new problem: global warming. It’s the abrupt increase in Earth’s temperature. As a result of chopping down trees without fully replanting them, the planet became hotter, resulting in the melting of icebergs, increasing sea levels, desert expansion, and climate change. Humanity is currently in a condition of disaster, but only a few people appear to be concerned. Even though they are aware of what is happening to our world, people have continued to do what they have been doing since the beginning. Despite these kind of people, there are still some who genuinely wish to make a positive change. DENR, or the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, has set out to conserve and protect our environment and all of our natural resources. The R.A. is an example of their actions. (9729) (Climate Change Act of 2009). Regardless of how much effort they manage to put in to help our country. Nothing will change unless we, the people of our society, assume full responsibility for the problem and actively participate in its solution.
