Laboratory Activities: Short Term Research

Prepare the following materials:

1. Seeds (pechay)
2. Pots or any recycled plastic container
3. Inorganic fertilizer (urea)
4. Garden soil
5. Organic fertilizer/compost
6. Ruler/measuring stick

Treatments:
 Treatment 1 – Garden soil
 Treatment 2 – Organic fertilizer or compost
 Treatment 3 – Inorganic fertilizer (urea)

Direction:

Each treatment should have five (5) replications. Gather data and monitor the test plant every day.
Duration of the study from September to November 30, 2021.

CONTENT OF RESEARCH PAPER

1. Title
2. Introduction
a) Objectives
3. Methodology
b) Location of the study
c) Care and maintenance
d) Parameter/data to be gathered (use IS “cm” in measuring the test plant) – start gather
data 2 weeks after planting.
 Plant height (from the base to the highest leaves)
 Number of leaves
 Length of leaves
 Width of leaves
4. Result and Discussion
5. Summary and Conclusion
6. Documentation (photos of activities from start to termination)
7. Video presentation of over all activities
