1. Microsoft Teams
Teams dashboard is divided into two main area namely: Me Space and We Space
Other apps can be added to Teams by adding a tab and selecting the app you want to add.
Apps that you can add in Teams:
o Other Learning Management System (LMS)
o Websites
o Office applications (word, excel or powperpoint)
o MS stream
Types of Teams available with Microsoft Teams in Education:
o Class
o Professional Learning Community
o Staff
o Administration
o Others
Ways to add members to your Team:
o Entering their email addresses
o Giving the Team Code
To make your student or other teacher as co-owner of the team you go to: Manage Teams
The teacher can add read-only content or handouts in the File Tab of Microsoft Teams
To create a sense of normalcy in conducting class using Microsoft Teams, you should
include school traditions, continue your classroom rituals in a virtual way.
To get students attention about upcoming event, we need to create a channel calendar
invite and make it an announcement.
Form quizzes are allowed to be embedded in Team so the student do not need to exit the
Teams in taking the quiz
Benefit of embedding and integrating external sources to your Class Teams;
o It saves time
o It enhances productivity
The Posts tab in Teams is used for:
o Posting announcements
o Give praise and encouragements
o Post articles on link resources
There are multiple modes of delivering celebration and praises in teams because:
o Teacher and students receive and appreciate praise in different ways
o Students show commendable jobs in different ways
Creating sway and PowerPoint recordings are NOT included in the process of enhancing
teacher-parent relation in Microsoft Teams.
Teacher can create “Other” team for support groups and students club as an opportunity
to practice students’ social and emotional learning skills.
Teams Insight is used to check students’ engagement in our class.
