Republic Act No. 8749, otherwise known as the Philippine Clean Air Act, is a


comprehensive air quality management policy and program which aims to achieve and maintain

2. Learning Activity: “Comp-Air-ing Pollution


a. Identify several sites around your home that you wish to study in terms of air pollution.
1. Kitchen
2. Paint
3. Bathroom
4. Refrigerator
5. Aircon
6. Window
b. Based on the number of sites, prepare an equal number of index cards. Spread a thin layer
of Vaseline on one side of the index card.
c. Punch a hole & run a string through some of the cards that you may need to hang. Tie them
securely to branches of tree or even behind your jeep or car to ensure that it is not lost
during the week.
d. You may use adhesive tape to fasten index cards on windows, doors or walls.
e. Label cards properly.
f. Collect the cards at the end of the week
g. Compare the amount of visible air pollution in the different sites.
1. The more viable outside and inside is very bad, inside the house the air pollution being
trapped also outside it is just rolling around, in trees the index card are less brownish
than in window that make it dusty and rough feeling.
h. Propose ways to reduce this type of pollution.
2. Plant more trees in every way. Like in our province in Bicol every side of the road has a
tree to reduce the air pollution also to reduce the dust coming from cars and others.
i. Propose ways to protect us from breathing this type of pollution.
3. Don’t cut the trees but protect them and promote tree planting to reduce the carbon or
air pollution also provoke the illegal loggers to give them hard punishment to stop their
illegal doings.

3. What can you do to help clean the air? Make a report on the following categories:
a. For vehicle owners/motorists
For the vehicle we used use the tesla car, it was being promoted in every country in other
nation also we can go through the Hydrogen Fuel which can be extracted to the distilled
water by electrofusion where the hydrogen is coming from water mixed with sulfite to
produce hydrogen and the hydrogen will be the fuel which is no emitting gas nor heat. It is
really good for all vehicles and it easy to transform once gas fuel engine to Hydrogen fuel
engine.
b. For commuters
We should try to get better condo, near of our job so we can reduce the use of vehicles, also
we can provide bike for this commuter so they can exercise and also can be healthy living
person.
c. For office workers
Lessen the paper works because it is the reason why we still having issue with illegal loggers,
by the way we are in the 21st century we must transform to electronical information.
d. At home
We can implement lessen the pollution by cleaning their homes, planting some plants in the
house, lessen the waste coming from them also lessen the use of plastic and paper.
e. For everyone
We should leave this 18s and 20s vehicles and transform to a new one which is reliable and
more efficient and healthier.
