Facilitate Learning
Nurse educators facilitate learning environments for their students. The learning
environment is critical to a nursing student’s ability to take care of patients. The process of
learning to be an educator comes with the tools to create an effective learning environment. So
far, I have learned the importance of setting student objectives, identifying learning styles, and
organizing a curriculum. There is more to facilitating an environment for learning than meets the
eye.
believe that the educator must be willing to be patient and respectfully teach students. That being
said, the task statement that states the nursing educator incorporating personal attributes to
facilitate learning resonated with me. I hope to be a nursing educator that does this. I want my
students to see patience, respect, and confidence, to name a few. It is so important that while in
the clinical setting, students see nurses who have these attributes. Nursing students are very
impressionable, so it is essential to display these qualities to help them learn. The goal of
