SYNOPSIS

Narrative

- Main character (Amy) falls in love with a barista over time after visiting the cafe often. The
story is a typical but sweet love where two teens meet and come together through their
feelings. This is expressed in the narrative with Amy going to the cafe she is clearly familiar
with to show the amount of times she visits, sitting down and purposefully spending time
there alone to get closer to the barista played by Emily. There are aspects of visible affection
between the two for example Emily personalised Amy's coffee order by adding chocolate
heart sprinkles and leaving her a sweet note. In time through the day they spend time doing
small but romantic/simple things together such as a date in the park, walking around the
pond, laughing and getting along in a flirty way, and eventually ending up in the field together
by the end of the video which links to the lyrics of being in a field of dandelions which is the
songs metaphor for falling in love or feeling in love.

Performance

My plan for the performance is to mix it in with the narrative, having different shots and
moments of Amy lip syncing to the camera or to Emily herself, expressing how she feels this
way (linking to specific verses of the song) whenever she is around her. For example, she
would sing to the camera between meaningful moments such as the coffee moment.

COSTUMES Simple outfit, very teen like but also presentable, obvious effort made to give off
good impressions

PROPS hot chocolate with chocolate heart sprinkles, sets the scene of the cafe as well
as shows links to love between the two characters

MAKE-UP Simple natural makeup - darker/reddish lips to connate love

LIGHTING Natural lighting- casual, realistic scene

LOCATION 2 Dandelion Field & park

BACKGROUND Giant empty field with hints of flowers/ dandelions

Small empty park swing set for typical, playful scene

COSTUMES Some field takes - red floral dress, symbolises the characters feelings (red
symbolises love)
master shot of the field - white t shirt (white symbolises purity and innocence)
costume change between white and red shows the change between being alone
to falling in love with someone

Narrative
DETAILED OUTLINE OF NARRATIVE
Amy visits a local cafe most of her days where she meets a working barista, Emily and instantly falls
for her politeness and overall self. Emily does little things like leave love notes or adds chocolate
hearts to her drink to show how she feels the same way back.
Eventually they both meet at the park and decide to spend time together, messing about like young
teenagers, playing in the park and going on a simple yet romantic walk together. There will be scenes
of them both laughing and taking pictures together to show the clear feelings between the two of
them and how their connection grows closer and more positively the longer they spend time
together. The ending would be them both dancing together or simply laying/ending up together on
the field as it links to the song, ending with a close connected scene.
