1 9/7-9/10 4.5 COVE Tabling at Sample the City (9/8); brainstorming for
programming. learning about the Hunger Taskforce, reading
through Oxfam Hunger Banquet toolkit packet; meet with Andrew
from OMSS about satillite pantry
2 9/13-9/17 3 LIC staff meetings; discussion with Kesli and Timmy about food A lot of the programs I am focusing on (satillite pantries and Oxfam Hunger
pantry; planning Oxfam Hunger Banquet Banquet) were started prior to the covid-19 pandemic. Because I am no longer
starting from scratch, I would like to make sure that I keep notes about the
process for these two programs so the LIC can continue them after this
semester. With just the Hunger Banquet, I will learn how to make university
reservations and work with catering, which is not something I've done befored.

3 9/20-9/24 6 LIC staff meeting; tabling at OMSS meet & greet for satillite As I've dived deeper into preparing for the Oxfam Hunger Banquet I realized
pantry, data input from OMSS survey; planning for Oxfam that a lot of the material is based on assumptions about poverty. The goal is to
Hunger Banquet; meeting with It Makes Cents about Maroon have attendees understand that food insecurity exists within the campus and La
Aprons Crosse community, so some of the suggestions from Oxfam might not address
this the best way. For example, the low-income tickets aren't suppose to get any
flatware, but peopel experiencing food insecurity might still have access to a
spoon. So i am learning that it is okay to not follow the script exactly but adjust
the program to match my intended learning outcomes. This week I also learned
how to reserve rooms and am looking into working with catering, all new things
to me.

4 9/27-10/1 5 LIC staff meetingReserved room for Oxfam Hunger Banquet; I learned its okay to ask questions when people assume I know something. I
talked through what needs to happen with Magann for that didn't know how to connect with catering, and by telling Magann that she told me
event; reached out to Kelly from Chartwells about catering to reach out to Kelly and gave me more tips for a successful event. After a year
working at UWL, I still don't know a lot about event planning becasue we didn't
do any of that last year (ugh covid).

5 10/4-10/8 6 LIC staff meeting; meet with Andrew from SSS about a mobile I made a mistake on my data presentation for OMSS by using icons instead of
food pantry, finalized survey data presentation for OMSS and naming what the items on the survey were. This caused confusion in the OMSS
emailed that to them; meet with Kelly from Chartwells about the office about providing fruit to students when the apple represented healthy
Oxfam Hunger Banquet and set flyer information to COVE snacks. I leraned that while a cute icon is fun, sometimes the information is
Graphics interpreted incorrectly. So it is better to just use the word rather than an image.

6 10/11-10/15 6 LIC staff meeting; Submitted Oxfam event to MyOrgs; filled out The timeline/planning document I was given for the Hunger Banquet was not
Food Expense form an submittd to Kyle for signature; delievered helpful and missed a lot of important details. I learned how valuable transition
first mobile food pantry boxes to OMSS and SSS; finalized documents are, especially for events that involve catering.
Oxfam poster with COVE Graphics; drafted list of student orgs to
invited to the Oxfam event; met with Timmy about tracking
mobile food pantry participation

7 10/18-10/22 5 Delivered weekly boxes to OMSS and SSS. Discussed tracking The LIC has to report numbers served with our food pantry, and that is easy to
usage of mobile food pantries with Andy (OMSS) and Andrew track because we use card access for the room. However, with these mobile
(SSS). Emailed student orgs about Oxfam Hunger Banquet food pantries we were struggling on how we would track numbers since the
(selecting those with an interest in service). Printed copies of pantries are in common spaces. Since neither Timmy nor I know the best
Oxfam poster for Timmy to post around campus. Drafted event approach for OMSS and SSS, because we want them to find value in tracking
schedule for banquet. Restocked Campus Food Pantry with usage, we asked for their input. This was a really useful approach because each
Timmy after Friday foodbank pick-up and discussed Halloween office had a different approach. OMSS will post a QR code for students to scan
Food Drive box pick-up for next week. Begun reviewing script for and record what items were taken. SSS already sends out a monthly email to
Hunger Banquet their students about tutoring, programs, etc, and will include a survey about the
mobile food pantry (asking questions about if you used it, what items you
enjoyed, what items you would like to see). While both offices are doing a
survey, the approach is different and best suites the space. Considering how an
other community utilizes their space and resources can be helpful in this
collaboration.

8 10/25-10/29 5 LIC staff meeting; dropped off SSS and OMSS pantry bags; met The Halloween Food Drive provides a lot of items we don't get from the Hunger
with Drea for mid-semester check-in and discussed working with Taskforce. And based off the data we've recieved from OMSS and SSS, these
dining to donate unused meals to the food pantry; sent Hunger are items students seek out (snacks, microwavable meals).
Banquet info to res life hall directors; put away Halloween Food
Drive items; filled SSS and OMSS pantry bags for next week and
dropped off since I'm out of office Monday

9 11/1-11/5 5 Sent Hunger Banquet information to academic departments

(WGS, Public Health, Health Policy), submitted monthly Food
Pantry report to Hunger Taskforce, packed and delivered SSS
and OMSS pantry bags

10 11/8-11/12 5 LIC staff meeting, put together materials for Oxfam, finalized
Oxfam details with catering and reservations, packed SSS and
OMSS bags, discussed end-of-semester survey for mobile
pantries
11 11/15-11/19 7 Dropped off SSS & OMSS food bags, LIC meeting, finalized The Oxfam Hunger Banquet might not be the best style for UWL. The
Oxfam presentations; Oxfam Hunger Banquet conversation during the event was awesome, but I don't think dividing folks into
income groups was necessary. Might be better to have something like a Lunch
and Learn where we cater lunch and have a discussion about food insecurity.

12 11/22-11/26 2 Dropped of mobile food pantry bags, LIC meeting
