FAQs FUTURE STUDENTS FADE-UPV

1. Can I study at the FADE as student of exchange?


In order to study at FADE (Facultad de Administración y Dirección de Empresas) as an incoming
student it has to exist a bilateral agreement between your university and FADE. In addition, your
university must select you and nominate you to in order to begin the process of application. Once
verified the bilateral agreement, an e-mail will be sent to your coordinator with the instructions to
start the application process.

2. How can I know if I have been admitted into the FADE?


Once checked your application, you will receive your letter of acceptance by e-mail with all the
information needed to start planning your stay in Valencia and your studies at FADE.

3. Where can I find information about the subjects taught at FADE?


The information about the degrees and the subjects is available at the faculty’s website at:

Please notice that there exists an English group, so some of the subjects are offered in both
Spanish and English. However, we strongly recommend our incoming students to study in Spanish
as there is a wider offer for those groups, what makes it easier for you to set your schedule and plan
your academic choice. Moreover, most of the agreements only allow to take courses in Spanish.
You can check that with your academic exchange coordinator.

4. How is academic course divided?


The academic course divides in two semesters. The first semester begins in September and
finishes in January and, the second semester begins in January and finishes in June.

6. When should I arrive to FADE?
The incoming students are normally asked to come to FADE around a week before the beginning of
the semester. This is normally the first week of September for semester A (Fall) and the last of
January for Semester B (Spring).

7. Should I give any document at my arrival?


Yes, in order start your enrolment and to be a UPV student you should first come to our office,
which is located at the 1st floor of the 7J building (FADE). You should hand a copy of your valid
passport and health insurance. Please notice that both documents should cover your complete stay
at FADE. You should also come with the letter of acceptance. We will then give you the temporary
student card and the LOGIN and password you will be using at UPV.

8. Is there any language requirement to study at FADE UPV?


Yes, as there is a higher demand in our English courses we do ask to our incoming student for a B2
level of Spanish Language.

9. Are there any Spanish Language courses at UPV?


Yes, UPV offers free courses of Spanish to the incoming students for A1, A2, B1 and B2 every
semester. These courses are worth 4.5 ECTS and last for the whole semester.

10. Is there any welcome day?


Yes, the UPV’s international office organizes a welcome day in which students are shown the
facilities and introduced to the Services available at the campus such us sport activities, library…
This welcome day is usually conducted during the second week of the semester. Moreover, you will
be assisted at our office at your arrival and we will give you all the information needed.

11. Is there any program to support exchange students during their stay at UPV?
Yes, through the mentor (buddy) program you can contact a student of the UPV who is studying at
FADE in order to directly ask questions to better plan your stay. She/he could also help you during
your first days in Valencia and to move around the faculty. If you are assigned a student Mentor,
you must complete a questionnaire about how your work after your Incorporation in the UPV.

12. Can I study at the FADE without a bilateral agreement with my university?
